When I saw Ryan Hansen (who I will always think of as Dick Casablancas on Veronica Mars) was credited with a guest appearance I knew immediately I would like this episode. Hansen did not disappoint as pop star Chasen who Jimmy seeks out in order to woo into coming to the restaurant in order to help boost a recent downward trend in ratings. Some decent comic moments occur with fulfilling Chasen's list of eccentric demands and Gerald's continued assertions of highbrow opinions regarding music. In the end, Jimmy does not get the endorsement he was seeking which I found a bit disappointing but it did not interfere with the enjoyment of the episode.
Within the first five minutes, Edie stole my heart and sealed the deal as the MVP of this episode with texting emojis to a previous date Jimmy is trying to "ghost" and a short but super sweet dance scene rocking out to Chasen's song.
