Pre-Production lasted over a year with the first draft of the script written in January 2014 and the first day of shooting beginning on February 27th 2015.
Actors Michael Killen and Roger Dane never met each other as their scenes were shot on two different days due to scheduling.
Due to Pre-Production lasting so long the script went through various drafts before shooting began. Some of these drafts featured many changes from the final piece such as having Tim talk to a mannequin and the living embodiment of death itself.
Actor Mark Gallagher was the last to be cast. He took the role of James 20 days before shooting and had never met any of the cast and crew before showing up on the first day.
Director Phil McAleavey joined the project a month before shooting. Not Just Yet had two previous directors attached before Phil took the helm, the first of which was attached for over a year but left due to scheduling problems.
