While Lucifer is repeating after Chloe saying "my dad's killer" he asks in surprise: "Nietzsche?" This is a reference to Friedrich Nietzsche's famous quote "God is dead" from his book "The Gay Science" (1882). Also in the same book Nietzsche writes: "Where is God? [...] I will tell you. We have killed him -you and I. All of us are his murderers."
The closing minutes of this episode feature a cover of "In the Air Tonight" on the soundtrack. The original version by Phil Collins features in the Tom Cruise film Risky Business (1983) which was an early starring role for Rebecca De Mornay who plays Chloe's mother.
Lucifer says he doesn't lie, but he lied when he said he was very aware of what was going on with the court date for Chloe's dad's killer.
