Bollywood takes its centuries very seriously. Be it a film reaching 100 crore or the centenary celebrations of cinema the magic number of 100 has lured tinsel town for a while now. Exhibitors touching the mark becomes an even bigger reason for celebration as it denotes the growth of the industry- more screens -more shows- more footfalls and we have a booming business in hand. While the exhibition is growing at a galloping pace, Miraj Entertainment is also focusing on rolling out quality content through their production unit.?
The house which is best known for the Hindi feature film Madaari is all set to come up with their next feature film entitled ?By Pass Road? with Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead. ?While the focus has been on creating high content films, their cinema arm of business has kept comfort quotient top most on their priority list while coming up with every additional property.

Starring: Irrfan, Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal
Directed by Saket Chowdhary
Irrfan Khan was last seen taking on corrupt forces in Madaari. He is back , this time to question the educational system in our country whereby children are inducted into posh English-medium schools only after a ridiculous amount of time money and energy is invested into ensuring the child’s future.
Irrfan + Social Issue, bound to work. He is known to be a thinking actor with very definite views of politics and culture.
The trauma that parents face is here alchemized into something smile-inducing and heartwarming, something quite magical in its ability to hit us where it hurts the most without damaging our sense of self-worth. Not that director Saket Choudhary trivializes the pain of parenting as it crosses the hurdles of schooling protocol.

We’re all aware of how politicians are active on Twitter in the times when social media has become an important part of people’s daily lives. For both the sides, the politicians and the people, it has proved to be a great way to communicate time and again.
So, when actor Irrfan Khan wanted to meet a few politicians to ask questions “as a common man” ahead of the release of his film Madaari, he decided to ask three of India’s most active Twitter-savvy politicians — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress Party’s Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.
First, Irrfan tweeted Arvind Kejriwal and received prompt responses:
Next on his list was Rahul Gandhi, who also gave immediate replies, and meetings were supposedly fixed:

The extremely talented Irrfan Khan, who is going all out to promote his upcoming thriller Madaari, recently took to Twitter in order to fix up an appointment with Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Irrfan Khan sought Arvind Kejriwal's through Twitter by stating, "Desh ka ek aam nagrik hoon. Aap se kuch sawaal pochnay the. Can I meet you @ArvindKejriwal?. To which, Arvind Kejriwal responded in affirmative stating "@irrfan_k Tuesday 11 am, my office". Irrfan Khan tweeted again stating "Dhanyawad @ArvindKejriwal , Monday and Tuesday we are in delhi, aap samay bataye hum pahunch jayenge". Irrfan Khan will be meeting Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tomorrow for an interview related to his film Madaari. The Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari was set to open in cinemas on July 15, along with the Inder Kumar-directed adult comedy Great Grand Masti. However, in yet another case of pre-release piracy, Great Grand Masti leaked online on multiple torrent sites, creating a dent in its potential box office collections.
Madaari’s director, Nishikant Kamat, has revealed that he, along with his producers, have decided to push the release date of his film, thereby giving Great Grand Masti a clear window in the cinemas.
In a statement shared with the press, director Nishikant Kamat said, “While we were apprehensive to shift our date to 22 July, we felt strongly that the cause of piracy owing to the leak of Great Grand Masti was more crucial, and as creative people we must all support each other and create an eco-system where we hopefully can survive through such tactical ways to fight back things like piracy.

Salman Khan's Eid release has created havoc at the box office. The immediate casualty is Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari which was to open next week, on July 15. Seeing the enormity of Sultan's success the Irrfan Khan starrer about a vigilante's vendetta against the establishment has been pushed ahead by a week, leaving the coast clear for another uninterrupted week of box office supremacy of Salman's Sultan act.
Explaining the decision to push the film ahead, Madaari director Nishikant Kamat expresses helplessness and resignation. "It is unfortunate, but what to do? We are caught in a kind of chain reaction. Irrfan Khan has not only become a name to reckon with in the Hindi film industry, but is also sought after by filmmakers in the West, thanks to his ability of portraying diverse roles on screen effortlessly. After the successful and critically acclaimed Piku, the actor will now be seen in Nishikant Kamat’s Madaari as a vigilante.
In a recent interview, Irrfan spoke about his motive behind taking up Madaari, “To raise questions. The intention was also to ask questions, such as ‘where would a common man go when something goes wrong, even though there are various departments?’ Our judiciary (In India) is so overloaded. There are many instances of our sticking to the laws that were made decades ago. As a country, we have to ask questions collectively to bring change. Sometimes, you have a story that you wish to reflect on through cinema although you are not an activist.

The makers of the sex comedy Great Grand Masti must be congratulating themselves for their quick-thinking strategy of preponing their film after it was leaked online. The film, which was to be released on July 22, would now be released on July 15, thereby generating an unexpected competition for Nishikant Kamat's political thriller Madaari featuring Irrfan Khan. Madaari has now been shifted from July 15 to July 22 since the high-profile Great Grand Masti's producers Balaji Films and Ashok Thakeria were expected to now block a majority of the screens and theatres for the sex comedy, leaving Madaari with the leftover outlets on July 15. While outwardly, the Madaari team feigns resignation at the unexpected turn of events, a source from the film says angrily, "This is the exactly kind of intrusion that kills the movie business. We had announced Madaari for July 15 three months back. Suddenly, this raunchy sex comedy comes to bite us from behind.

For the longest time, Irrfan Khan had managed to stay away from all controversies until now. Irrfan Khan is currently on the promotional tour for his upcoming film, Madaari where he gave a statement that has resulted in a controversy.
Irrfan was in Jaipur recently for Madaari promotions where he ended up criticising the fasting and Qurbani ritual during Ramzan. While interacting with media, he said that instead of fasting during Ramzan, people should self-introspect. He further added that people should stop slaughtering animals in the name of Qurbani. Muharram is meant to mourn but Muslims have made the mockery of the festival.
Muslim clerics didn't take the statement lightly and they slammed him over the same.
