The immersive experience in Channel Zero: No-End House isn't just scary, it manipulates memories on a mental level, burrowing into the psyches of those unfortunate enough to enter its six sinister rooms, as evidenced by the latest trailer for the second season of the Syfy series.
Channel Zero: No-End House premieres on Wednesday, September 20th on Syfy. Directed by Steven Piet, executive produced by Nick Antosca, and based on Brian Russell's creepypasta, the second season of the series contains six one-hour episodes. The preceding first season was based on Kris Straub's Candle Cove, and a third installment is also moving forward at Syfy.
Having seen the first episode at its world premiere Comic-Con screening, I can assure you that No-End House is superbly paced, deeply unsettling entertainment. At times it was like watching an immersive haunted house experience go horribly wrong, and the scares are relentless...

Earlier this year, Syfy announced that Channel Zero, an anthology series based on online horror stories known as "creepypastas," had been renewed for third and fourth seasons. While the first season brought Kris Straub's unnerving Candle Cove to life on the small screen, season 2 of the series—premiering in October—will adapt Brian Russell's NoEnd House for television. The third season's source material is currently unknown, but the first casting details have now been revealed.
Deadline reports that Brandon Scott (Blair Witch, Guerrilla) and Holland Roden (MTV's Teen Wolf series) are set to star in the third season of Channel Zero, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2018. According to Deadline, Scott will play "Officer Luke Vanczyk, a young but already jaded cop, living in the shadow of his father, the Chief of Police. Luke’s world-weary exterior hides a fierce commitment to justice, and a deep love for his troubled community.

There’s no official title or logline yet for the third season, which is scheduled to premiere in 2018. After witnessing the horrors of Candle Cove, viewers haven't even stepped into the No-End House yet, but Syfy and Universal Cable Productions have already renewed the anthology horror series Channel Zero for a third and fourth season, with Ucp also inking a deal with the series' executive producer Nick Antosca to create additional programming.
Each season of Channel Zero brings a creepypasta to life on screen, and while it's not yet known which creepypastas will be the focus of the show's third and fourth seasons, viewers can look forward to seeing the adaptation of Brian Russell's NoEnd House in season 2 of the series, premiering this October.
Antosca will continue to be the executive producer, showrunner, and writer for the third and fourth seasons of Channel Zero, with Max Landis also continuing to serve as executive producer. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for updates on the anthology series, and for more information,...

“It’s six rooms. Each one is scarier than the last.” After traveling to Candle Cove in season 1 of Channel Zero, showrunner Nick Antosca and company will enter a new kind of haunted house in next season’s No-End House (based on Kris Straub’s creepypasta), and another cast member for the show has now been revealed.
According to Deadline, Aisha Dee (Sweet/Vicious, Chasing Life, Dead Gorgeous) plays a key role in Channel Zero: No-End House. Dee portrays Jules, the “stubbornly independent” best friend of Amy Forsyth’s character, Margot Sleator.
When Daily Dead and several other journalists spoke with Channel Zero showrunner Nick Antosca back in November, he had this to say about the second season, which will differ from Candle Cove in style:
“It’s very different stylistically. Candle Cove is an almost pastoral style. It’s very restrained. It’s very composed and there is...

Hey there, everyone! I sincerely hope this finds you all well (or at least coping) and eager (or at least willing) to take on a new year. I love doing year-end lists. For me, it’s a time of reflection, as well as expansion. Since I started with Daily Dead in April of 2015, my horror-view continues to grow; I’ve been so fortunate to meet and speak with some enduring legends of the genre, not to mention strike many new friendships through social media. But what my continuing immersion in this greatest of cultures has provided above all else is an appreciation for the variety and depth horror has to offer. It really has been a great year; unfortunately, I’ve missed some goodies, but dammit, I tried. So, without anymore ado whatsoever, here are a few (okay, a lot) of my favorite things from 2016.

It convinces children to kill and haunts those who survived its eerie effects. Based on the Creepypasta of the same name by Kris Straub, the puppet show Candle Cove is causing plenty of carnage in the first season of Syfy's Channel Zero, but, if you dare, you can now watch an episode of the unsettling show within a show. Just be wary when the Laughingstock tells you to "go inside" Bravery Cave.
"In the mood for a creepy puppet show? Here's an episode of the show that turns children into murderers.
Based on a popular "creepypasta" (user-generated horror stories that are published and passed around the Internet), Candle Cove centers on one man’s obsessive recollections of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s, and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood."

Giving horror fans enough nightmare fuel to last them until next Halloween, Channel Zero: Candle Cove has cranked up the fright factor to eleven over its first four episodes. Over the past couple of weeks, Daily Dead, along with other journalists, had the opportunity to take part in conference calls with showrunner Nick Antosca, who discussed adapting Kris Straub's unsettling creepypasta, how the show found a home at Syfy, getting Greg Nicotero's help in designing the look of The Tooth Child, and what to expect in season 2, which will focus on Brian Russell's NoEnd House.

Last night I watched the first episode of Syfy's new horror anthology series Channel Zero: Candle Cove, and while it occasionally dragged in spots, director Craig Macneill (who helmed 2015's excellent budding-sociopath horror-thriller The Boy) managed to establish a quietly unnerving tone that feels unique to anything else on TV right now. Based on an internet "creepypasta" written by Kris Straub, the show created by Nick Antosca (Hannibal) is a little bit X-Files with more than a dash of Stephen King, shot through with Macneill's off-center sensibilities. For those who aren't familiar with Channel Zero, Season 1 centers on child psychologist Mike Painter (Parks and Rec's Paul Schneider), who returns to his hometown nearly three decades after his twin brother and several other children were found murdered after watching a bizarre children's TV series entitled Candle Cove (for more specifics, you can read my explainer piece on the series...

Syfy's new series Channel Zero: Candle Cove premieres tonight at 9:00pm Et, but its story may already haunt you. Channel Zero's first season is based on one of the most haunting "Creepypastas," stories published online that use a wide range of narrative styles and multi-media presentations to blur the lines between fiction and reality. Before viewers tune into Candle Cove tonight, we caught up with Channel Zero showrunner Nick Antosca (Hannibal TV series, The Forest) to discuss the six-episode adaptation of Kris Straub's chilling Creepypasta, as well as what viewers can expect from Channel Zero's second season.
Candle Cove is one of the creepiest Creepypasta stories out there. When did you first become aware of the Candle Cove story? Were you a fan of it before coming onto this project?

Thanks in large part to the ongoing success of FX's American Horror Story, horror anthologies have become a hot commodity on TV again, and Syfy's Channel Zero is hoping to cash in on that trend with "Candle Cove," the first season of a new series that takes its inspiration from the internet phenomenon known as "creepypasta." For the uninitiated, "creepypasta" is a term coined to describe user-generated horror stories online that typically take the form of message board posts, and which are later amended and embellished by other 'netizens. Call them digital urban legends. "Slenderman," which later inspired a real-life crime, is arguably the most famous creepypasta. "Candle Cove," written by webcartoonist Kris Straub and based around the eerie concept of a bizarre old children's TV show that was visible only to a small group of children, is another. As for the series, it takes off from Straub's tale to...

The tagline “Nightmares come from somewhere” might not sound all that scary by itself, but paired with the extremely creepy teaser for the Syfy anthology series “Channel Zero,” it’s enough to give you a serious fright. The inaugural season of the show, “Channel Zero: Candle Cove,” is a six-part series based on Kris Straub’s short story from Creepypasta, and stars Paul Schneider and Fiona Shaw (“Harry Potter”).
The teaser reveals what can only be described as the scariest manifestation ever of a monstrous tooth ferry, which appears to “eat” several teeth off the hand of a young boy. Bloody Disgusting describes the show as centering “on one man’s obsessive recollection of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s – and his ever-growing, dreadful suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood.”
