Sex & Nudity

  • No nudity.
  • One wedding kiss.
  • A male character is often portrayed drunk and while drunk it is implied that he only wants women to fulfill sexual desires (nothing is overtly crude).
  • The main character has a girl friend in the beginning who dresses down. She has an open front top showing a lot more then cleavage and hardly anything on the back.

Violence & Gore

  • A man crashes his car into a metal fence while intoxicated. No blood is showing when the blow occurs, and the screen turns to black a split second before the impact.

Profanity

  • I'm must strongly disagree! with the "severe" rating! I have never seen profanity rated as "severe" on any film rated less than "R". I hope that rating was an error!

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A male character is seen consuming vast amounts of alcohol and is often portrayed drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • In a hospital setting a main character is given the bad news about having a rare and often fatal illness (more sadness then intense).
  • Sol has a stroke when talks to an audiance about seeing his son, Davey, who died from cancer. He starts jittering infront of an entire audiance. Katy says repeatedly "Someone call an ambulance!" This scene can be intense for young viewers.
  • Sol proposes to his formerly-divorced Katy, after converting to Christianity, and when the man tell his children, Katy can't talk for a short period of time, before falling to the floor from a seizure, violently vibrating and shaking. This can be very intense for young audiences.
