Highs and lows

I found that Maiz and Ella were underutilized in this episode, especially surprising considering that this was an Ella episode. I also found that her brother was underdeveloped. Besides Ella considering him the good relative, they really don't go much into their relationship.

Lucifer's subplot and his relationship with Amendiel were more interesting as you see Lucifer using the case to struggle with his relationship with his brother. However, the conclusion to the story was a little disappointing.

Ella Lopez arrived at the Los Angeles police precinct rather obliquely, and we don't know that much about her at all, other than her somewhat questionable choice of blokes, and a brother who is to say the least not exactly squeaky clean.

Lucifer is still endeavouring to help Pierce end his lifetime ordeal, unfortunately whatever he suggests Pierce insists that he has already tried it, rather in desperation Lucifer decides to consult his brother Amenadial.

Charlotte Richards is desperately trying to understand what, has happened to herself in her recent past, naturally enough she hopes that Doctor Linda Martin, is the very person to help her.

However the poor doctor already know rather more, about what Charlotte Richards has already gone through, and doesn't exactly appear inclined to assist her.
