God didn't help you, I did

With Matt now reassessing his motivations, we can expect to see a different type of Daredevil from here on in, so anyone who is concerned we are retreading old ground shouldn't worry. Matt may be back in his old suit and Fisk may be causing trouble in the background again but these characters have come a long way from season 1 so I expect a very different kind of conflict between them this time. The only thing which is the same is the consistently high quality of action and dialogue throughout

Villans working together... sort of

Warning: Spoilers
Well where to start on this episode, after making a deal to save Vanessa in episode 1, Wilson Fisk gives up one of the leaders of the Albanian mafia in helps kitchen. Leading to a major just and possi me promotion for the new FBI agent for getting Fisk to talk. This helping to establish the motivations from episode 1 and keeping the FBI on side.

This is very much a Foggy and Karen episode, where we seem to find the story for Foggy in that his trying to balance his big shot job to his humble beginning. Shown through quite a realistic look at large families and the people who makes sacrifices. This could be the arc that in the end will reunite Nelson and Murdock for the series to be at a close.

As for Karen investigating a simple highjacking gone wrong, turns out to to be the beginning to bring these 3 back together, Nelson, Murdock and Paige. The 2 men that Matt kind of beat in the 1st episode was preventing a kidnap and saved a man's life, for Karen to find out that a man in a mask saved them. The glimmer of hope has come back.

As for Matt, he was able to track down the guys from episode 1 and lay some heavy beatings on them. Season 2 daredevil showed some of the best choreography or martial arts and stunts from any other series I've seen but the fights so far seem different and for the better. They seem far more brutal and the impacts are felt far more. Hard hitting and getting hit even hard and pulling through the pain!

Then the best part was saved for the ending where Wilson Fisk is to be transfers to house a rest after being stabbed in prison and it was inevertable that rhe convoye would be hit by the Albanians before to long. But we do get our frist look at an FBI sniper who never missed a shot and hit the bullseye with every shot

Please...more Daredevil

Here we get to indulge in Foggy's and Karen's life which then set up for a surprise. Premise of this episode well executed and action sequences are topnotch and ultra realistic. Again a step up from episode 1and it looks like it's only going uphill.

"Love is the perfect prison"

Warning: Spoilers
The great premiere is followed by more of the same emotional tone but this time, is centered around Wilson Fisk. Fisk is just such an astonishing character and Vincent D'Onofrio really knocks it out the park, and in this episode especially. As far as I can remember, we haven't had this Wilson Fisk in the show before. He's an emotional wreck and is not the brutal lump of rage like he was in season 1, as told in a rather literal sense in the opening scene, where he is attacked with a knife and nearly murders the attacker, but then leaves him alive after some thought. The violent Fisk was obviously great and iconic but I really like this change. That's not to say he will be like this all season though; I'm sure he will be back to his murderous ways in no time, but I'm more than happy with the Fisk we have at the moment.

This episode also saw Matt slowly returning to Daredevil, but without the faith this time. It also took a nosedive into Foggy's life and his relationship with his family, which was my second favourite part of this episode (behind Fisk's car monologue).

Not quite as effective as the premiere, but still a really good episode where Vincent D'Onofrio shines.

Acting at its finest

How these characters haven't crossed over to the big screen yet is beyond belief Wilson Fisk is by far the best villain on screen

Boredevil 3.2
ThunderKing618 July 2022
The nun is an annoying holy blister.

Only redeeming quality is the Kingpin scenes. Everything else is a bore. All of Matt scenes are dull dialogue, it's a borefest.

Overall, just a barely average episode. It drags so slow.

Not a good episode.

Love is a Prison [8.8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Daredevil Season 3 Episode 2 ''Please'' (S3. E2): Episode 1 was good and I gave it a rating of 7.5/10. So now Wilson works for the FBI? Interesting. Someone attacked Wilson in the prison, I thought Wilson had power in there so I didn't expect that someone would have the guts to stab him. I like the nun, she is an interesting character. Also she has some solid advice for Matt. Wilson is right he wont be able to help the FBI if they kill him, I mean the other prisoners. Its sad that Foggy's dad is sick. Nice to see Matt wearing his prototype suit again, it always looked cool. Nice to see some Matt action. Love Wilson's monologue about love, he describes it as the perfect prison and he is not wrong. Who attacked the police cars? Ok but who did it? Doesnt seem like it was Wilson's men. Ok so it was the Albanians who wanted revenge, makes sense after what Wilson did to them. So is Wilson free now? Overall a great episode, my rating is 8.8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Bringing back Fisk after having him not really a part of Season 2 seems like an odd twist, but this was a pretty solid episode. The scene in the weight room was epic and I predict he will be in top form throughout this season.

I am not sure what the end game, but I hope he doesn't break out of prison. This show is hopefully too smart for that.

Slightly better
Leofwine_draca13 February 2022
A slightly better episode than the first, although I'm not sure the religious subtext will be of much interest to the intended audience. A set-piece towards the climax lifts the spirits a little.
