As director Patty Jenkins confirms that Wonder Woman 3 was axed by Warner Bros, co-star Chris Pine has expressed his befuddlement at the decision.
Director Patty Jenkins, who made 2017’s Wonder Woman and its 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984, has confirmed that the third film in the series is essentially dead. And with the whole DC Universe now in the process of being rebooted by James Gunn, it’s likely that the whole timeline (and its characters) established by Jenkins has come to an end.
Chris Pine, who co-starred as dashing pilot Steve Trevor in Jenkins’ movies, has expressed his amazement that Warner Bros didn’t proceed with Wonder Woman 3 – a project Jenkins worked on for at least a few months before it was cancelled in December 2022.
“I’m stunned that they said no to a billion-dollar franchise and decided to pivot elsewhere,” Pine said in an interview with Business Insider (via...

With Gunn and Safran spearheading the Dcu reboot, it was announced that nearly all projects affiliated with the Dceu would be scrapped, with most of the original cast not reprising their roles.
This included the cancellation, or at least postponement, of the ‘Wonder Woman’ franchise, including a planned third installment directed by Jenkins and starring Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Patty Jenkins opted out of directing ‘Rogue Squadron’ in favor of helming the potential third ‘Wonder Woman’ installment. Despite Gunn and Safran’s Dceu overhaul into the Dcu, there was lingering optimism from both Jenkins and Gadot for their return to the project, until its eventual confirmation that it wouldn’t materialize.
Chris Pine, who played Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman’s significant love interest and a prominent character in Diana’s narrative, recently expressed his surprise at the Dcu’s decision to not continue Diana’s story.

With Gunn’s and Safran’s reboot of the Dcu, came the news that pretty much all projects that were under the Dceu umbrella would be canceled and that almost none of the cast would return to reprise their roles.
Of course, that also meant canceling the ‘Wonder Woman’ franchise or at the least, a planned third movie that Jenkins was supposed to direct and Gadot return to star as Wonder Woman.
Patty Jenkins even walked away from directing ‘Rogue Squadron’ to direct the potential third installment. Even after Gunn and Safran rebooted the Dceu into Dcu some semblance of hope remained both for Jenkins and Gadot that they will return to the Wonder Woman project, until it was ultimately confirmed that this isn’t happening.

Chris Pine is sharing his thoughts on DC axing a third installment of Wonder Woman.
The actor, who starred in 2017’s Wonder Woman and 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984, recently told Business Insider that he was “stunned” after learning a third movie in the superhero franchise wasn’t happening.
“I’m stunned that they said no to a billion-dollar franchise and decided to pivot elsewhere,” the Poolman director said. “I don’t know what the reasoning was behind that; it’s above my pay grade, but Wonder Woman is an incredible character. Patty [Jenkins] is such a thoughtful director.”
Pine played Steve Trevor, the love interest of Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince/Wonder Woman character, in the first two movies; however, he noted that he wouldn’t have been involved in a third film.
“Me. No. Homie is dead. Steve is gonzo. It would be ridiculous to try to bring me back,...

Chris Pine’s role in the DC Universe was certainly iconic. Being one of the most beloved actors in the industry, his portrayal of Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman franchise came with nothing short of appreciation. Especially following the course of the first movie, his ultimate sacrifice touched the hearts of many, making it cruel to learn that his appearance in the sequel was next to nothing.

Although the first film had a lot going on for it, including the growing reputation of Patty Jenkins because of its success, a lot relied on the second film. Gal Gadot’s portrayal as the titular character was taken well, as was every other aspect of the franchise; up until the sequel. However, Pine has something different to say about the same.

Chris Pine is shocked Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” franchise is dead. The actor recently spoke to Business Insider while promoting his feature directorial debut “Poolman” and said he’s struggling to understand how Warner Bros. could pull the plug on a franchise that grossed the studio nearly $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
“I’m stunned that they said no to a billion-dollar franchise and decided to pivot elsewhere,” Pine said. “I don’t know what the reasoning was behind that; it’s above my pay grade, but Wonder Woman is an incredible character; Patty is such a thoughtful director.”
Pine starred as Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot’s “Wonder Woman” in two Warner Bros. comic book tentpoles directed by Jenkins: 2017’s “Wonder Woman” and 2022’s “Wonder Woman 1984.” The director was developing a third movie for Gadot’s superhero when DC Studios brought in James Gunn and Peter Safran as its new leaders.

In a move to consolidate its bullishly expanding audiovisual industry, Spain’s Canary Islands have just scrapped a prior €50 million ($53.5 million) cap on total annual tax incentives tapped by movies and series shooting in the archipelago.
Announced April 30, the ground-breaking measure was applauded by local industry heavyweights who have been lobbying national and regional authorities, “This couldn’t be better news for the Canarian audiovisual sector, and by extension, for the Spanish audiovisual sector,” said Rubén Zarauza, president of the Audiovisual Cluster of the Canary Islands, and co-head of Amuse Studios, the Spanish branch of France’s Amuse Animation group.
“What we have achieved with this [tax break] cap removal is greater peace of mind for producers and other players in the sector,” Zarauza added.

Similar to many other Hollywood biggies, Chris Pine too comes from an acting background, whose parents were once associated with the showbiz. But while they did enjoy modest success, especially his dad, Robert Pine, it did little to change their life around financially, and the late ’80s would turn out to be the toughest period for the Pine family.
The Wonder Woman star, who has cemented himself as a major A-lister since rising to prominence in the late 2000s, recounted this dark period of his life, and how his parents combated the situation.

There’s a lot going on in the world of Alien at the moment. The original classic is returning to theaters, for starters, and the Xenomorphs will be fighting Marvel’s superheroes in the upcoming mashup comic Aliens vs. Avengers. Of course, the main event for 2024 is Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus, a brand new big screen movie set between Alien and Aliens!
With so much going on, you’d be forgiven for forgetting that Disney is also working on an “Alien” television series, in the works for FX from creator Noah Hawley (“Legion”).
The Alien franchise’s first ever television series is likely to arrive sometime in 2025, set to be the first story in the franchise that takes place on Earth, roughly 70 years in the future.
FX teases, “Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth.”
So what’s the latest on the “Alien” TV series?...

Lynda Carter, who became a television icon as the star of the live-action “Wonder Woman” series from 1975 to 1979, delighted comic book fans when she popped up at the end of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” as Asteria, a legendary Amazonian warrior previously thought to be dead. The tease led many to believe a third “Wonder Woman” movie would unite Carter and Gal Gadot on the big screen, but the sequel was announced as dead in August 2023.
In a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Carter heavily suggested that she would’ve been back as Asteria had Jenkins and Gadot’s “Wonder Woman 3” taken flight at Warner Bros. She described Jenkins’ plans for the sequel as “really interesting, wonderful and about something important. Not just your typical thing.”

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman made her debut in the Dcu in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and made a great impression on audiences. They loved Gadot’s charm and ease with which she portrayed the character. Her solo film in 2017 further proved that she was not a fluke and was born to play the character.

Lynda Carter didn’t have the Golden Lasso of Truth surrounding her. But what she said about a possible Wonder Woman 3 makes sense.
Carter spoke to Yahoo! Entertainment and said that she thinks the only way a Wonder Woman 3 will ever get made is if there’s a fan demand and outcry.

Netflix regularly takes down movies and TV shows because their agreements with content owners expire. Warner Bros. Pictures’ DC movies started appearing on Netflix in phases from December 2023. This move is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s plan to license more content to other platforms like Netflix.
In 2023, HBO titles became available on Netflix for the first time, with more expected throughout the year. However, these agreements were short-term, lasting only 3-5 months. By the end of March, most DC superhero movies on Netflix will be taken down. Here’s the list of movies leaving the platform:
‘Man of Steel’ (2013) ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016) ‘Suicide Squad’ (2016) ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017) ‘Justice League’ (2017) ‘Shazam!’ (2018) ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ (2020) ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ (2020) ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021) ‘Black Adam’ (2022) ‘Shazam! Netflix periodically removes movies and TV shows from its streaming service due to the expiration of licensing agreements with content owners. Warner Bros. Although Wonder Woman 1984 was nowhere near as good as its predecessor, there were still plans for Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot to return for Wonder Woman 3. However, that all changed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and decided not to move forward with the project. While speaking on the Talking Pictures podcast, Jenkins said that her journey with Wonder Woman is over “for the time being, easily forever.“

Jenkins left the franchise soon after, and then the whole of Dceu was rebooted to make way for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Dcu. But what does that mean for the future of...

No Wonder Woman 3 With Gal Gadot ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Patty Jenkins directed the DC movies Wonder Woman (2021) and its sequel, Wonder Woman 1984 (2021). The female-led superhero movie stars Gal Gadot, is in the titular role. While the first movie received a great response, the sequel struggled to impress everyone. Now that DC has revamped itself entirely with a new slate and James Gunn and Peter Safran headlining the kind of content going on, will Patty return to direct the third part?
On the Talking Pictures podcast, the host asked Patty Jenkins if there will be Wonder Woman 3 and if she will return to direct the Gal Gadot starrer. The director said that she’s done with the franchise for the time being, and easily forever. Jenkins believes that there won’t be a third movie, too.
Patty Jenkins said, “No. They’re not interested in doing any Wonder Woman for the time being.

Patty Jenkins’ “Star Wars” movie “Rogue Squadron” might not be dead after all. The project, centered on fighter pilots in the “Star Wars” universe, was first announced at the end of 2020 and was put on the calendar for a December 2023 theatrical release. By September 2022, however, Disney had pulled the title from its release schedule. Variety reported last May that “Rogue Squadron” was no longer in active development at Lucasfilm.
In a new interview on the “Talking Pictures” podcast, Jenkins announced that she is now once again in development on the script for “Rogue Squadron” following the dissolution of her planned “Wonder Woman 3” at Warner Bros. and DC Studios. Variety has reached out to Lucasfilm for comment.
“When I left ‘Star Wars’ to do ‘Wonder Woman 3,’ and I started working on that, we talked about, ‘Well, maybe I’ll come back to “Star Wars” after “Wonder Woman 3,”‘ so we started a deal for that to happen,...

For fans anxiously awaiting Lucasfilm's next big move after the divisive "The Rise of Skywalker" brought an uncertain end to "Star Wars" on the big screen, well, this next update only kind of clears things up.
"Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins once was the subject of a breathless announcement back in December of 2020, which revealed that she would be directing a "Star Wars" film about a squadron of X-wing pilots due out by the end of 2023. That obviously didn't end up happening, probably because the title was quietly removed from the studio's release schedule after months and months without a single update. We subsequently found out Jenkins' 'Star Wars" movie had been unceremoniously shelved, possibly in response to the poor reception to "Wonder Woman 1984," but maybe that was a bit premature. In a thoroughly unexpected surprise, this latest bit of news comes not from Lucasfilm itself, but from...

Patty Jenkins became really famous when she decided to direct a ‘Wonder Woman’ movie for the Dceu. The movie was a huge success and got Jenkins the record for the biggest opening weekend for a movie directed by a woman. Soon after, she said she was going to direct ‘Wonder Woman 2,’ but she almost left the project because she wasn’t happy with the pay offer from Warner Bros. (WB).
‘Wonder Woman 1984’ was supposed to come out in the U.S. on June 5, 2020, but was delayed to December 25, 2020, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was first planned to release on November 1, 2019, but when it finally came out, it got mixed reviews and didn’t make much money. This is seen by some as the start of a downhill trend. Meanwhile, Jenkins made a deal with Disney to direct a ‘Rogue Squadron’ movie, which was announced in 2020 but then...

Patty Jenkins rose to worldwide fame when she signed up with Dceu to do a ‘Wonder Woman’ movie. The movie was a massive hit and gave Jenkins the biggest domestic opening for a female director. Soon after Jenkins revealed that she was directing ‘Wonder Woman 2’ but that she almost walked away from the project due to a salary dispute with WB.

In Patty Jenkins' bonkers superhero sequel "Wonder Woman 1984," a smarmy yuppie named Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) has discovered an ancient wishing stone that can grant him one wish, but only in exchange for something valuable to him. Maxwell, rather than making a wish, gets clever, wishing to absorb the powers of the stone, and become a wishing object himself. When someone touches him and makes a wish, he has the power to grant it, but can now make vocal demands in exchange. He essentially wishes for more wishes.
A mousy nerd named Barbara Minvera (Kristen Wiig), who works with Wonder Woman's secret identity Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), clearly has a crush on her, coveting Diana's assured demeanor. Barbara also has a chance to make a wish on the wishing stone and wishes to be more like Diana, not knowing that Diana is an immortal demigoddess with superpowers. Barbara's superpowers,...

In Patty Jenkins' bonkers superhero flick "Wonder Woman 1984," various characters have access to a magical wish-granting stone that is causing havoc in the world. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) wishes her deceased beloved Trevor (Chris Pine) to be resurrected, but he has to occupy another person's body in order to live. The evil villain Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) wishes that he becomes the wishing stone, giving him wish-granting powers. Wonder Woman's mousy co-worker Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig) first wishes to be more like Wonder Woman, but eventually goes a little power mad and angry when that wish is granted. Later, Barbara wishes to become an "apex predator," transforming herself into a were-cheetah. During the film's climax, the cheetah version of Barbara and Wonder Woman -- dressed like a golden angel -- will do battle on the shores of a rocky, remote island. There are concrete slabs, power lines, catwalks,...

U.S. director and producer Robert Rippberger, who recently wrapped sci-fi thriller “Renner” with Frankie Muniz, is headed to the European Film Market in Berlin to launch the sales unit of his banner Sie Films. Its slate will be fronted by his next project, the horror thriller “Monstrosity.”
“Monstrosity,” which is currently in pre-production, is a creature feature that Rippberger will produce and direct. To create its titular monsters, Rippberger recruited concept artist Aaron Sims, whose work includes “Stranger Things,” “Ready Player One” and “Wonder Woman 1984.” Production on the film is expected to kick off later this year in one of the Morgan International full-service special effects facilities in Europe. Writer Sabir Pirzada is producing “Monstrosity” alongside Rippberger.
“Monstrosity” opens on a young village boy who goes missing down a mine shaft. His father blames a strange family in the neighboring house, but of course far more is at play.

The DC Extended Universe is dead.
Starting in 2008, several feature films based on Marvel Comics proved to be big hits, and Marvel Studios (in conjunction with Disney) would go on to rewrite the blockbuster landscape. For 15 straight years, Marvel dominated the box office by taking a serialized TV structure and applying it to movies, hence birthing the "Cinematic Universe." Each film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was directly connected to all the others. In the "season finale episodes," characters would team up. The MCU never told very sophisticated stories — they all boiled down to "good guys" and "bad guys" engaging in pugilism — but they captured the public's attention like no film series had before.
Naturally, Warner Bros. tried to imitate the McU's success by launching the Dceu in 2013. After all, Warner Bros. still owned the film rights to an enormous back catalogue of superhero characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman,...

The Alien franchise will return with its first ever television series in 2025, and it’s set to be the first story in the franchise that takes place on Earth, roughly 70 years in the future.
Creator Noah Hawley‘s take on the Alien franchise has been described as both an “extension and reinvention” of the films, but don’t expect Ridley Scott’s prequel movies to factor into the series. Scott, who’s on board the FX series as producer, dug into the origins of the Xenomorphs in both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, but Hawley reveals in a new chat with Kcrw’s The Business that he’s not interested in playing with any of those story threads.
Furthermore, he’s only interested in exploring the tech of the original two movies.

The cast for FX’s “Alien” series continues to grow, with Deadline reporting that actor Moe Bar-El (The Peripheral) joins in recurring capacity. More interestingly, the announcement gives a bit more insight to the many of the characters in the series.

Bar-El joins previously announced cast members Babou Ceesay (“Guerrilla,” “Damilola”), Jonathan Ajayi (“Wonder Woman 1984,” “Noughts and Crosses”), Erana James (“Uproar,” “The Wilds”), Lily Newmark (“Pin Cushion,” “Sex Education”), Diêm Camille (“Washington Black,” “Alex Rider 3”), and Adrian Edmondson, Timothy Olyphant (“Fargo”), David Rysdahl (“Fargo”), Essie Davis (The Babadook), Alex Lawther (The End of the F*cking World), Samuel Blenkin (“Black Mirror...

It's no secret that DC has had a rough year at the box office. Warner Bros. has released three DC Comics movies theatrically in 2023 so far, and all three of them have bombed. Suffice it to say, it feels like the forthcoming DC Universe reboot led by James Gunn and Peter Safran can't come soon enough (if it's not too late already). But first, WB has one last superhero juggernaut to release in the form of "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." Amazingly enough, the follow-up to the highest-grossing DC movie of all time now feels like a major underdog.
Tracking for director James Wan's "Aquaman" sequel is currently coming in quite a bit lower than the original. The Hollywood Reporter has the film taking in anywhere between $40 and $50 million on opening weekend. The film hits theaters on December 22 and has the benefit of Christmas falling on Monday, giving it a four-day holiday weekend.

Not content with playing one character via :a[The Suicide Squad]{href='https://www.empireonline.com/movies/reviews/the-suicide-squad/' }'s Weasel, it seems Sean Gunn has snagged another. While confirmation has yet to come from director James Gunn, Deadline reports that the younger Gunn (who has played a variety of roles in his brother's work) will pop up in films going forward as the villainous Maxwell Lord.
Lord's origins in the DC comic book universe date back to issue #1 of the 1987 Justice League comic book series, created by Keith Giffen, Jm DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire. At first glance, he's a cunning businessman and an ally to the members of the Justice League, who was fundamental in orchestrating Justice League International. Sean Gunn, who audiences may know from his performance as the Ravager pirate Kraglin from writer/director James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise, has reunited with his older brother once again and joined the growing cast of the new DC Universe. According to Deadline, Sean Gunn will play Maxwell Lord, the DC Comics villain previously played by Pedro Pascal in Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman 1984." It's unclear if Lord will have a cameo role in James Gunn's "Superman: Legacy," but Deadline says the character will at least be referenced in the background of that movie and will appear in future DC projects. Will Sean be able to bring a similar level of goofiness to the role, or does James have something else in mind for this character? More on that in a minute.

Perhaps the biggest movie news of the week dropped a few days ago, which is that Pedro Pascal has been cast as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Marvel Studios' upcoming "Fantastic Four" film. After breaking out as Oberyn Martell on "Game of Thrones," Pascal has been a part of other major projects like "Narcos," "Wonder Woman 1984," "The Mandalorian," and "The Last of Us." By joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is Pascal at risk of becoming overexposed?
Perhaps not. As /Film's Ryan Scott points out on today's episode of the /Film Daily podcast, Pascal is a terrific performer, but his past few years have not exactly been overflowing with hits. "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," in which he co-starred opposite Nicolas Cage, made less than $30 million worldwide. "The Bubble," "We Can Be Heroes," and "Triple Frontier" quickly disappeared into the Netflix netherworld. "The Last of Us" seemed like a big deal,...

The underwater actioner features Jason Momoa’s Aquaman reluctantly teaming with his previously deposed brother (Patrick Wilson) to deal with the return of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta. Contrary to what the internet has been spouting for three years, Amber Heard is indeed back as Mera.
As with the previous CinemaCon sizzle reel, we see at least one shot of Mera in action. The trailer promises a jaw-droppingly gorgeous fantasy spectacle, with crisp, clear and colorful underwater photography. At a glance, James Wan isn’t handing over the underwater franchise crown to James Cameron without a fight.
Five years is a long time between installments. However, it’s only a year later than initially planned prior to Covid-related production delays. The plan, way back when, was to have ‘Aquaman 2’ open...

Exclusive: DC’s The Flash, the Justice League spinoff movie starring Ezra Miller in the title role, pulled in 1.1M US households in it’s Live+2 Day window on Max per Samba TV. The Andy Muschietti directed Warner Bros. title hit Warners streaming service on Aug. 25.
That figure is -8% from the weekend debut of Black Adam during Dec. 16-18 which clocked 1.2M U.S. households.
The Flash, which cost $200M before P&a, was long mired in a PR controversy, its leading man Miller the subject of myriad tabloid headlines, public scuffles and arrests a year before the movie’s opening. He was largely left on the sidelines to promote the film; his one appearance being the world premiere in Hollywood days before the pic’s June 16 opening. A bulk of the film’s cast, including Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, were limited in press ops, further hampered by the...

This weekend, Warner Bros. released its third 2023 movie based on a DC Comics property in the form of "Blue Beetle." The good news, at least in terms of headline-grabbing optics for the studio, is that it now goes down in history as the movie that finally kicked "Barbie" out of the number one spot at the box office. This is doubly good for Warner Bros., as both movies hail from them. The bad news is that the numbers, relatively speaking, are still bad for DC's latest, even though it debuted atop the charts.
Director Angel Manuel Soto's "Blue Beetle" made $25 million domestically, which was enough to unseat "Barbie," which pulled in $21 million in its fifth weekend. The problem is that the DC Comics adaptation cost a reported $104 million to produce -- before marketing. While that's relatively cheap for a big comic book movie, it's still firmly in blockbuster territory.

You can call the DC superhero movies a lot of things, but “consistent” isn’t one of them. Even the intentionally interconnected films of the DC Extended Universe vary wildly and unpredictably in quality, with instant classics like “Wonder Woman” and “Shazam!” followed up by giant misfires like “Wonder Woman 1984” and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” (and those were from the same filmmakers).
So after “The Flash” turned out be a historic disaster on many levels, you could be forgiven for wanting give up on this mixed bag of a franchise as-is and wait patiently for the next reboot. Or, failing that, the next-next reboot, because if there’s one thing DC loves it’s completely redoing a superhero universe, over and over again in every medium.
But that’s a pretty rotten state of mind with which to enter a theater showing “Blue Beetle,” which is a delightful...

Gal Gadot and her real estate developer husband Yaron Varsano are proud parents to three daughters. And though the actor has kept herself very busy - starring in Netflix's "Heart of Stone" and a potential third "Wonder Woman" film - she previously told Baby magazine in 2020 that she loves nothing more than coming home to her family. "I am a very, very happy woman who can hardly wait to come home to my family every time I finish work on a film," she explained. Gadot and Yaron share daughters Alma, Maya, and Daniella.
Gadot told Vogue Hong Kong in the June 2023 cover story that becoming a mom totally changed her perspective. "The biggest thing that changed in my life since I became a mother 11 years ago, was learning that it's not just about me. I'm not the most important thing in the world. They are," she said, calling that fact "simply healthy.

Last week, in an interview with ComicBook.com, Gadot claimed that DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran had indicated to her that they would develop a new “Wonder Woman” film with her.
“I love portraying Wonder Woman,” she said. “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”
That was followed by a Flaunt magazine profile in which Gadot said, “I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran,...

Bad news for fans of “Wonder Woman.”
On Thursday, Variety reported that despite recent comments to the contrary from Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, there are no plans for Warner Bros. to mount a third “Wonder Woman” film.
The news is perhaps a bit awkward since Gadot has said in multiple interviews that she spoke with DC Films leaders James Gunn and Peter Safran about again playing the Amazonian warrior in another feature.
Speaking to ComicBook.com last month, Gadot said, “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”
During an interview with Flaunt magazine, Gadot sounded even more confident about starring in “Wonder Woman 3.”

There are no plans for a Wonder Woman 3 at Warner Bros.’ DC Studios, Deadline has confirmed with sources.
Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot got the internet all excited with comments she made in a pre-SAG-AFTRA strike interview with Comic Book.com for the Netflix movie Heart of Stone, that she was developing a threequel with Gunn and Safran. She further emphasized those statements in another sitdown with Flaunt magazine.
“I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran [co-chairperson and CEO of DC alongside Gunn] and what they told me, and I’m quoting: ‘You’re in the best hands. We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. [We] love you as Wonder Woman— you’ve got nothing to worry about.’ So time will tell.”
Following Gunn and Safran turning down Patty Jenkins’ plans for Wonder Woman 3 back in December, it has never been part of the new DC leadership’s plans to make Wonder Woman 3. Ironically,...
