It’s official: Young Sheldon is leaving Medford, Texas, to pursue his Big Bang Theory future in Pasadena, Calif.
In the sixth-to-last episode of the prequel series, a recently published paper co-authored by the future Dr. Cooper led to a frenzy of grad school recruiting. Harvard, M.I.T., Princeton, Stanford and the University of Toronto all came a-knockin’ with generous offers. But the 14-year-old scientist, who hates change, strongly considered continuing his education at East Texas Tech.

John Carter and Wall-e director Andrew Stanton is working on a fascinating new sci-fi film. If In The Blink Of An Eye sticks to the script, we could be in for something special.
His career stretching back to the late 1980s, Andrew Stanton is best known for his animated work at Pixar, whether it’s as writer (1995’s ground-breaking Toy Story) or writer-director.
As a live-action filmmaker, he’s probably almost as well known for 2012’s John Carter, a hugely expensive sci-fi adventure based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ A Princess Of Mars. One of those films that seemed to have vultures circling it before it was even released, John Carter was ultimately a box office misfire.
In the wake of it, Stanton kept himself busy with animated projects at Disney and Pixar, but has also found time to write or direct the odd TV episode, including instalments of Stranger Things,...

Jim Parsons Prepares to Revisit Sheldon Cooper’s Role on Young Sheldon; Opens Up About Feelings ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Jim Parsons, celebrated for portraying Sheldon Cooper, is gearing up to reprise his role. Fans eagerly anticipate his return after his memorable The Big Bang Theory performance. Iain Armitage portrays Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, and Jim Parsons has not revisited the character since the Big Bang theory concluded in 2019. However, he’s confirmed to return alongside Mayim Bialik as Amy Parsons expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, praising the scene crafted to explain Sheldon’s return.
It was beautiful, even beyond my expectations, Parsons commented. He shared his excitement for the opportunity, noting the sweetness of the script and the seamless integration of himself and Mayim into the show. Parsons expressed his hope that others would feel the same way. Moreover, he...

With viewership that peaked at nearly 14 million an episode, Young Sheldon is one of the most successful sitcoms in recent memory.
And the show is spun off from The Big Bang Theory, which, despite never gaining a foothold with critics, was one of the most-watched sitcoms of all time, serving as CBS' biggest hit for much its 12-season run.
So it comes as no surprise that yet another Sheldon-verse spinoff will be coming to CBS in the very near future.
What is somewhat surprising, however, is the fact that some of the franchise's biggest stars will be reprising their roles for the upcoming Young Sheldon series finale.
It was announced this week that both Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik will be returning to CBS as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler.
Parsons is an executive producer on Young Sheldon, and he's been narrating the series since its first episode.

With CSI: Vegas‘ reveal that it was drug lord Raphael Tarquenio and his nephew who had offed Kahn Schefter aka the man who murdered Jeannette Folsom, CSI Josh should be in the clear, right?
Oh, you’re so very wrong. Because the fact remains that Josh crossed many a line in the course or capturing Schefter and torturing him for information about his mom’s murder. And in this Sunday’s episode (airing at 10/9c on CBS), it will be up to the Las Vegas Review Board — and at-times surprising testimony from Max (Paula Newsome) — to determine the fate of the heretofore-stellar CSI’s career.

Box Office – Fighter has a fair Monday, crosses Bang Bang lifetime (Photo Credit – Facebook/IMDb)
It was a fair Monday for Fighter as 3.25 crores came in. This was close to a 50% drop when compared to the 6 crores that the film had collected on Friday. Given the kind of doubled-up jump that was seen on Saturday and then further increment in collections on Sunday, the ideal figures would have been in the vicinity of 4-4.50 crores. However, since the first Monday had shown that the Hrithik Roshan starrer is primarily collecting at key properties, which are more occupied during the weekends, the collections are at par.
The film currently stands at 181.25 crores and will come close to the 190 crores mark by the close of the second week. The drops won’t be big from this point on since the film has more or less settled and, hence, should now ply a predictable route.

Box Office – Fighter is almost 150 crores after extended Week One (Photo Credit – T-Series / YouTube)
Fighter has just about managed to reach 150 crores total after an extended first week. Released on Thursday, the film has collected 149.35 crores* so far. The numbers managed to stay over the 5 crores mark right through the weekdays, though that’s not saying much since the drop was really heavy on Monday. The real deal would have been to stay in that double digit zone right through since that would have comfortably taken it past the 200 crores lifetime rather comfortably and then Dunki lifetime could have been challenged.
Right now, the target is Bang Bang lifetime of 181 crores and by the look of things that should be surpassed since only a little over 30 crores need to be collected and this should happen in next week or so. On Thursday, the film brought in 5.50 crores* more and the...

Fighter Box Office Collection Day 7 Early Estimates! (Picture Credit: YouTube)
Fighter may be rising and shining overseas but is in turmoil at the domestic box office. The film, released on January 25, 2024, has crashed at the ticket windows since Monday. And the situation isn’t getting any better as the collections remain under the 10 crore mark. Day 7 is no different; scroll below for all the updates!
The action film started its theatrical journey on the wrong note. The pre-release strategies were weak, and there was little to no buzz among cine-goers. Word-of-mouth was also mixed, which affected footfalls despite little to no competition at the box office. There’s a freeway with no big release in the near future, but unfortunately, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone‘s film will not be able to make the most of it.
Fighter Box Office Collection
In the first five days, Fighter has accumulated a sum of 131.10 crores.

Kate Micucci said Monday that she is cancer-free after having surgery a week ago following a lung cancer diagnosis.
The Big Bang Theory alum took to TikTok over the weekend to thank well-wishers “for of the good wishes and all the love” after revealing her diagnosis.
“I have great news which is that I am cancer-free,” she said Saturday. “The surgery last week went great, all the reports I got back are that it worked out and I don’t need to do any more treatment.”
She also thanked her nurses and doctors for the care and for “figuring [the diagnosis] out early, because I am very very lucky and I know that.”

Last Tuesday, Micucci, 43, shared on TikTok that she underwent lung cancer surgery December 11. She said the diagnosis was a surprise because she’s never smoked. “But I guess it happens, and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out — I’m all good,” she said at the time.
Mucci most recently was cast in a voice role for the upcoming animated Angry Birds Mystery Island TV series. Her other credits include NBC’s Four Kings, Scrubs, Till Death, Raising Hope, Steven Universe, How I Met Your Mother and Malcolm in the Middle, among others. Film credits include The Last Hurrah, Bart Got a Room and When in Rome.
Also an artist and a musician, she and Riki Lindhome comprise the musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates.

Look out, Hollywood, Steven Spielberg’s daughter, Destry Allyn Spielberg, is making her feature directorial debut with one of the biggest badasses in the game, Giancarlo Esposito! According to Deadline, Esposito is joining Spielberg’s upcoming thriller, Please Don’t Feed the Children. The script hails from writer Paul Bertino, with Michelle Dockery, former NFL tight end Vernon Davis, Joshuah Melnick, Emma Meisel, Dean Scott Vazquez, Zoe Colletti, Regan Aliyah, and Andrew Liner making up the ensemble cast.
Pandemic-sensitive viewers beware: the plot for Please Don’t Feed the Children revolves around a group of orphans heading south, searching for a new life after a viral outbreak decimates their country’s adult population. Because The Big Bang Theory was about a group of scientists, their educational backgrounds and college choices came up often. Over the show’s lengthy run, fans learned the alma maters of each key member of the friend group, including the ones who joined as the series progressed. While Sheldon Cooper is considered a genius, he might not have the most prestigious education. Do you know where everyone from The Big Bang Theory went to college?
Sheldon Cooper and Bernadette Rostenkowski were both California-educated
Sheldon Cooper is a genius. No one is arguing that point, but he didn’t attend the most prestigious college in the world. He did, however, graduate from an elite program. Sheldon actually attended and graduated from CalTech, the very college he worked at throughout The Big Bang Theory.

John Carpenter’s enjoyably pulpy adaptation of King’s 1983 horror novel, about a car that infects its owners with evil, gets a 40th-anniversary revival
Three years after Stanley Kubrick unveiled the vast mysterious grandeur of his film version of The Shining, John Carpenter demonstrated a very different and more unassuming approach to Stephen King with this adaptation of King’s cult horror classic; it came out in 1983 and is now revived for its 40th anniversary. Carpenter’s attitude was very far from Kubrick’s transformative auteurist vision, closer to Brian De Palma and Carrie in fact. It did not behave as if King’s book was raw material to be refined and elevated into art; Carpenter’s Christine kept the trashiness, pulpiness and pure un-grownup-ness, like a mixture of Duel, Crash and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Director Wuershan’s ambitious adaptation of Xu Zhonglin’s 16th-century novel has too much highly variable CGI but its idiosyncrasies set it apart
“Strange things keep happening these days,” muses Jiang Ziya (Bo Huang) halfway through this extravagant adaptation of Xu Zhonglin’s 16th-century myth-and-fantasy novel Investiture of the Gods. By this point, we’ve already seen a woman kill herself with a hatpin before being possessed by the spirit of a white fox; a gurgling, pistachio-coloured demon baby is found naked in the woods; and a conjuror who can make his head float free of his body when threatened with decapitation. Strange days indeed.
Ziya is one of three immortals sent to arrest the Great Curse which is threatening the future of the Shang dynasty. King Zhou (Kris Phillips) is besotted with the seductive but malevolent Su Daji (Naran), and is letting his kingdom descend into carnage. The only hope is the Fengshen Bang,...

Soyoung Choi's dance film, “Bang” tides us through an internal journey of suppression and revolt. Sprawled and encased in a glass tank, a woman, played by Choi herself, explores the parameters of her body. Unknown and hostile forces surround and watch her, pelting paint and food as she curiously attempts to escape.
“Bang” is screening at Busan International Short Film Festival
It is indeed tempting to surmise “Bang”'s concerns under common ideological camps of young female artists. It would be too convenient to interpret Choi's entrapment as the collective suppression and sexualization of women, by desensitized voices of larger society, of the unrelenting gaze (though it's hard not to think of The Bell Jar here). One would also make the case that “Bang” prods at a more general conflict of being trapped by our own humanity. But in its most indifferent form, this work dishes out as little as possible,...

A defining moment in Young Sheldon‘s life has seemingly been erased — or, at the very least, skipped over.
The Big Bang Theory prequel’s previous episode picked up at the start of 13-year-old Sheldon’s spring break — the same spring break where, per Big Bang lore, Sheldon walks in on George having sex with another woman. On the mothership, it’s the reason Dr. Cooper knocked three times before entering a room.

Max, the newly named merged HBO Max-Discovery+ service, is reteaming with Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre for a new series set in the same world as the former CBS hit. Plot details are being kept under wraps for what would be the second offshoot of television’s longest-running multicamera comedy series ever. Prequel series Young Sheldon, currently airing its sixth season on CBS, was the first offshoot from Big Bang Theory. The flagship series, created by Lorre and Bill Prady, aired for 12 seasons on CBS. The new Big Bang, like the flagship and prequel series, hails from Warner Bros. Television. The studio has been Lorre’s home for decades.
Big Bang Theory streams exclusively on Max (the former HBO Max) following a landmark deal with Lorre and Warners. The studio is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, with the extension of the Big Bang Theory franchise coming exclusively to...

Dick Van Dyke crashed his car into a gate in Malibu after it skidded in wet weather conditions, according to reports.
The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang actor, 97, lost control of the car before smashing into a gate, leaving him with a bloody nose and possible concussion. It is understood that he did not need hospital treatment.
The accident occurred on Wednesday morning (22 March) and police officers arrived at the scene to find the star behind the wheel of his Lexus Ls 500, reports TMZ.
This is not the first time Van Dyke has been involved in an incident involving a car. In 2013, the actor escaped unhurt after his car burst into flames on a motorway.
Van Dyke was pulled from the vehicle, having not realised the Jaguar was on fire on a Los Angeles highway.
He told TMZ at the time: “It just started making a noise, and I thought I had a flat at first,...

Many aspiring actors only dream of landing a breakthrough role that gets them into the Hollywood circle. For Rebel Wilson, that project was 2011’s Bridesmaids. The film stars Kristen Wiig (who co-wrote the screenplay), along with an ensemble cast that includes Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, and Wendi McLendon-Covey. Here’s how Wilson managed to land a role in the movie.

Prior to Bridesmaids, the Australian-born was mostly known for starring in TV shows in her homeland. These included shows such as Pizza, The Wedge, Thank God You’re Here, Bogan Pride (which she created), and Monster House. Her only Hollywood role to date was as a background character — credited as “Girl in Alley” — in 2007’s Marvel Comics adaptation Ghost Rider.

In 1995, Alex de la Iglesia directed his second feature, “The Day of the Beast,” which marked a milestone in Spanish cinema, yoking full-on U.S. genre tropes – a bloody against-the-clock search for an Antichrist – with a bathetic but very grounded Spanish reality, featuring a downbeat boarding house, a local metalhead and the tawdry star of an occult-themed trash TV show.
The film opened the floodgates for other directors, weened on VHS binging, to mix U.S. and Spanish realities. Now nearly 30 years later, De la Iglesia is at it again. A showreel of movies and series made by Pokeepsie Films, the shingle he founded with Carolina Bang in 2009, dazzled at a Next from Spain showcase panel on Monday at Berlinale Series Market. Standouts included the sheer visual boldness of excerpts, their pop out tones, – such as in Eduardo Casanova’s lush pink in “La Pietá” – or mixture of gore, high-production values and comedy,...
