Bound by History: Walter Hill on The Long Riders (2017)
**** (out of 4)
The only negative thing that I can say about this twenty-minute interview with Walter Hill is that it didn't last long enough. If you're a fan of THE LONG RIDERS then you'll certainly love this interview, which has the director talking about all aspects of the production including how he got involved with the picture. A good portion of the running time has Hill talking about his love for the Western genre and why he wanted the picture to be as realistic as possible. He also tells a great story about David Carradine coming to him unhappy about the script as well as a great story on Sam Fuller visiting the set. If you're a fan of Hill then there's no question that you'll want to check this out as there are some great stories told and it's a lot of fun.
