This episode was not actually about scamming it was more about Ruby not feeling like her normal self and her son Dre' figuring out how to help her through it. Ruby displayed classic symptoms of Dementia. Who would want to star in or produce a comedic episode mocking seniors battle with Alzheimer's disease and dementia? Who? The entire cast and crew of Blackish that's who! Tracy Ellis Ross even went so far as to say that "Ruby' played by Jenifer Lewis, should be shot twice in the back of the head if she is suffering from it, she called it '2 to the back of the head' "tap tap'. It sounded really insensitive, Dementia is a devastating disease and is not funny at all to relatives of sufferers.
