- Rats unexplainably run into a lit fireplace
- Blood can be seen in light form and in huge amounts in certain parts of the game. Very graphic.
- 6/10 - While there are still images and objects that depict gory images, there is little actual onscreen violence in this game, with almost all of the details left to your imagination. It's very disturbing, but not really graphic.
Profanity

- Mild profanity such as 'd*mn, h*ll, and other, stronger profanities(uses of sh*t and f*ck)
- Not much dialogue in the game, but f*ck and sh*t ARE used.
- 8/10 - Frequent uses of f--k, s--t, and some religious profanities, mostly by the main character, the painter.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Empty alchohol bottles and pipes are seen laying around.
- 6/10 - The painter is an alcoholic, and there are many dialogue sequences where he is clearly in a drunken state. Alcoholic beverages and pipes can be found littered throughout the house. In the Inheritance DLC, it's revealed the wife was a morphine addict, though the painkiller is never referred to by name.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The atmosphere of the game is very disturbing. Many jump scares are used in death scenes. Spirits, entities, and possible demons are frequently seen. A child element is present in some parts of the game, which is very disturbing in the horror genre.
- Very graphic pictures depicting 'Little Red Riding Hood' can be viewed.
- The game features some classical paintings depicting murder and torture.

- The apparition of the wife has her breasts exposed, but the lighting and her shaky movement make that hard to notice.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- It's suggested that the main character was an alcoholic.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- It is suggested that the main character's wife was badly burned in a bad fire, leaving her disfigured. The wife then supposedly killed herself in a bathtub. The purpose of the main character is to paint a painting using pieces of this dead wife to recreate her former beauty. When this is done the painting immediately transforms into the man's post-accident wife, and he throws it into a closet filled with other identical paintings, suggesting that no matter how many times he tries, he can never recreate her former self. Some may find this lightly, mildly, or very disturbing.
