Misty Button was shot in nine hectic days in the Bronx, Brooklyn and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. However three insert shots were filmed in Los Angeles. The Harlem Bar is actually in the East Village and owned by Gerard McNamee (Frank).
The posters used on the wall of James's apartment are from Sugrue's first two movies. Catch 22: based on the unwritten story by Seanie Sugrue and Love is Dead! The head shot on the wall is of James "Jimmie" Tropeano. An actor that worked with Locked in the Attic Productions on two of Sugrue's plays in 2015. Sadly he passed away on December 9th 2015.
Although Shaun Kennedy's character "Eoin" is from Belfast and Cillian O Sullivan's "James" is from Kerry, both actors are from Co. Cork.

All the 'Irish Slang' used is authentic to the southern and northern regions of Ireland.
