Retro slick intelligent awesomeness!

Deep into the 3rd season and still managing to blow you away. Bruce Campbell's amazing ability to keep a character cool and fresh after decades! Nothing else on tv can compete at the moment!

"Ash once again proves he can kill himself"

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode, Ash can handle himself but not others. He even fights himself in a short but epic fight. There are many complaints that the fight was too short but you have to remember that Ash has fought himself 2 times already.

It was a great episode that again focused on the psychological stigma against Ash.

A really good episode, season 3 is amazing.

By Far The Best Episode Of Ash Vs Evil Dead Yet
Gresh85427 August 2018
This is absolutely the most screwed up and twisted Evil Dead moment in the entire franchise's existence. Defintely the most eventful episode and most gorfested. And the ending of it had me grieving, and also, more emotionally invested than I have ever been with this show. Looks like Season 3 is looking up to being the best of them all!

"All hell has broken loose!"

From the 1st phrase I realized it's gonna be a masterpiece from the proven "Evil Dead" director Mark Beesley. Bravo to all involved!

Warning: Spoilers
A very good episode, the best yet of the season. The suspense and surprises in the high school setting works a treat and there's a ton of gore and action to recommend. It feels like they've got some of the old fire back in this one.

Panic at the disco.

Ash fights yet another doppelgänger of himself: this time, it's Ruby's baby all grown up. At the high school dance, good Ash turns up to try and save Brandy from Ruby, but he has to try and convince people that he's not the one who has been slicing up teens. Pablo realises that Kelly is not who she seems, good Ash defeats bad Ash, and another major character checks out. Or do they?

This episode is a little more blood-drenched than usual - they must have got through gallons of the stuff - but it's still a fairly routine offering that doesn't really shake things up. With only three more episodes to go before Ash hangs up his chainsaw and boom-stick for good, I do hope that they dial up the craziness and leave me feeling groovy.

My least favorite episode
jplewanski-5035626 February 2023
I really, truly can't understand how this has such a high rating. The callbacks to Army of Darkness were perhaps the only things I actually enjoyed about this episode. Characters ignoring things they've seen seemingly just because, illogical decisions made solely for plot devices... I get that this isn't meant to be taken THAT seriously but I personally need at least SOME consistency and this felt the farthest away from consistent in any episode up to this point. Shame, because the only thing that tanked it that hard for me was the writing. Great series, but this episode was a BIG miss for me. I'll bump it up a couple of stars solely for the acting.

The worst writing in the series
Slater_isntreal16 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Within 10 minutes I knew this episode would be imo the worst writing this series has ever had, somehow it has all the same characters, moves the plot forward, and is somewhat entertaining but is unwatchable, every character for some reason goes down considerably in IQ and their own previous knowledge,

For some reason every character has their own mystery they need to solve while the massacre is happening and I really liked how it was going but brandy, Pablo, and ash both never solve anything, they all have to be slapped in the face constantly to then go "omg I can't believe that" brandy for the whole season has to be reminded every episode "hey btw we fought ur counselor multiple times she's 100% a demon" and 7 episodes deep she's still "has to confirm" which if this never happens we never have the fake ash massacre, Pablo for some reason disappears after finding out Kelly is dead and then soon seeing Kelly being weird asf he has to then confirm it's not her for the demon to then miss 3 shots with a pistol at close range and run out of ammo really writers? The moment when brandy looks at ash and says "omg you were right" about ruby I just dropped my remote at the absolute gaul to write that line and for what for brandy to die end up in silent hill with Kelly just for both of them to comeback to life (I haven't seen the next episodes yet) ? This whole episode and massacre was just to make brandy realize her counselor is ruby and die,

I think they really wanted to do use the high school again and have some Carrie moment, something as big and scary as the first episode(since the writer is the same) but except you just made an episode that wouldn't be possible if characters were written consistently and last big question why would brandy want to endanger her school and fellow classmates just to confirm if her counselor really is ruby or not especially after everything she's dealt with the past 6 episodes losing her bsf and mother but nope ruby make a google slideshow and now she can't be a demon anymore according to the writers of this episode.

I'll give it a 4 because if you turn your brain off and enjoy Bruce Campbell's performances it's easily a 7-8 but I just can't allow myself to rate it that high with the massive amount of horrible writing decisions that have to process the plot.
