It's okay

Warning: Spoilers
I found all the jabs at works that are no longer politically correct and the gray area of liking such flawed works was funny. However, I still think they are using kid's gloves when referring to the controversy of Apu. They admit he's politically incorrect, but still fail to acknowledge that he's specifically used as a tool by racists to mock Asian Indians.

As for the Bart/Homer storyline, it has its moments, but it's definitely the weaker of the two. Bart almost letting Homer drown was a little too dark for the show.

Very mediocre

Aside from the way they "addressed" Apu being written off the show, this episode is still pretty dull. A few of the jokes land, and I did laugh a couple of times but other than that it's a very forgettable episode. The constant usage of "modern devices" that keep the family disconnected also annoys me.

It's no more than a 5/10 from me, but I give it a 4 just for the passive dismissal of Apu......
