Double damned idiots

A near perfect end to a highly entertaining series. Quite emotional in parts, and me being a northerner, for a TV show to get to me that's impressive. He fought a system that was too busy too even notice, which is so sad. Watched in three days and has left an indelible impression on me. Cool show.

A GRIPPING SAGA

While most of us have grown up reading Catch 22 as a satirical novel, this was a tight and gripping adaptation, saw it as a binge watch in one go. Excellent acting and taut direction and easy story telling makes it a real good watch. Wish George Clooney edits this one to a movie running around 120 minutes, can be easily done.

Newman

Great series, but I do prefer the book though.

Anyone else noticed that leutenant Newman is a spitting image of Newman from Mad magazine?

There Is Not Easy Answer

As Milo goes on to run the campaign, not the military,Yossarian, who has had the experience with Snowden., dying in his arms, goes off the rails. He comes to realize that the world is badly flawed and that there is little hope trying to oppose it. He knows now that he must act as irrationally as his cohorts. After breaking all the rules, he is given a medal and previously he has been promoted to Captain for not reason other than covering up his contradictory activities.

fair end

The dramatic end of a profound inspired adaptation of a cult novel. The death of Snowden gives to Yossarian the power to give to the near reality the only reasonable answer. His nudity is only a cry. The last form of definition of his profound and painful loneliness. And that does the episode remarkable. Because all becomes clear in the most convincing manner. The last scene - crumb from a new mission is the fair conclusion to a serie becoming wise parable about every day life mor than a manifesto against war.

A well written story
wmckinsey19 November 2022
The story of one coward yo-yo who seems to get almost everyone he meets killed. A coward because he tries every way possible to not do his duty. And yet, somewhere finds compassion.

And this seems to be the second best that I've seen Clooney in. It comes natural to him.

Set in WW2, the story focuses in the Italian areas and the bombing missions that had taken place there. We find our coward doing everything he can to go home and yet find his way failing upward.

As his advice gets others killed, he finds ways to blame everyone but himself. In the end we find him in a protest of sorts and now on missions.
