In the church...
songod-9500330 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Earlier in this season, maybe ep 1 or 2, we saw the Teach family at church. The priest was saying how Jesus rose from the cross and conquered death. The camera showed their son Carl taking particular interest in this. First time ever seeing the boy act excited or act anything really. I thought to myself "This is resonating with him... that a man nailed to a cross rose from the dead." Too young to understand the bigger significance, he nonetheless understood the base fact: nail a man\person to a cross and they rise from the dead.

This, I believe, is what he was thinking when he told the older boys to nail the child to the cross; that the boy would rise and be unharmed. Guess I'll see if that is indeed what he thought.

Massive episode with a big ending!
leestoych21 August 2019
Quality television continues. Another awesome episode with a massive twist at the end. Season 2 has been excellent. The dark nature of the show is continuing with great scenes and big moments. Love that eerie soundtrack at the end. Enjoying all story lines, Atlanta, Bill's home and even Wendy and her bowling expert lover ;)

Wow!
Hitchcoc26 January 2020
This involves a trip to Atlanta to again try to get satisfaction for the deaths of several children in heinous ways. Holden, in his innocent way, can't get seem to understand racial prejudice. He has a lot of figures to butt heads with. Bill gets startling news at the end. I know that some reviewers are fixated on the meeting of the two women in the bowling alley. My only complaint is that it took up so much time.

The ending...
bharat212 September 2019
I was completely blindsided by the ending, it didn't even cross my mind. JUST SHOCKING. It was so horrifying to know that children could do such a heinous act. Loved Anna Torv in all her scenes. She really got a chance to dig in to the good stuff in this episode.

Netflix has honestly hit it out of the ball park with mindhunter and this episode has proved that it just keeps on getting better. Excellent twist ending.

Just shocked...
serrakiper24 August 2019
It is such an shocked episode finale. It' s getting harder to hear some details about the murders and kidnapping. Quite tense episode. Holden seems a bit uneasy. Tench is tense.

Great episode

A great episode on multiple fronts, loved seeing Dr Carr out in the field, and of course the bombshell ending. Great acting and a strong storyline.

Flammable

Exact things happening which should never even considered to be thinking. This series gleans out the most panicking probabilities in my mind and swing it with a burning pendulum.

it's gonna be ok, boys...

I couldn't help noticing several complaints about the show depicting Carr's dating life, and I just wanted to let those people know that I managed to enjoy a season that showed Holden's head between Debbie's legs every other episode, so I think that they can suffer through watching a couple of lesbians on bowling night.

Very disappointed in a subplot
vaklavkoca21 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
(spoilers) Remember the great nuanced writing from season one? Bill was noticing some of the same symptoms in Brian that he was seeing in the serial killers he was interviewing. Absent father, isolated and withdrawn from personal relationships, possible early childhood trauma. All of these made for a gripping and complex narrative. In season two, they decide to throw all of that character development and great writing out the window for some cheap drama. They just tell you that Bill's son is a murderer, and is probably going to be a serial killer. There's also a scene in a later episode where he ominously stares at a girl on a swing-set. Again, throwing subtlety out the window for drama. This show was thrilling before they decided to do this; thankfully the main story line is still good. The rest of the season is good, but this episode and all of the Brian story line is definitely a black mark on an otherwise great show. Also, I have not personally read the book, but this apparently strays way away from the real life person the show is based on. Which isn't surprising, this whole story line feels like it strayed way too far into the realm of fantasy. It's just too big of a coincidence that the FBI's expert on serial killers has a son who is a serial killer. Really poor quality writing (on this subplot, the rest of the show is great).

Episode 204
bobcobb30117 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Not as good as the last one, but this show has its niche and continues to deliver. This episode tackled a lot of things including how our view of being gay has evolved over the years.

More people need to start watching this.

Silly subplot
FilmChamp206 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The whole subplot about homosexuality and Dr Carr is such an unnecessary add in. Especially since the main actors are based on real people, that being said, Carr's character was not gay. The story has nothing to do with the series or to do with showing how the stress of the job reflects on her. If you want a love story, this isn't the show to put it in. I want to learn about the minds of people and learn how Ford's mind works in order to get his "instinct". I don't need to be reminded on oppressing woman and homosexuality. This was 70's and 80's being introduced to criminal psychology. Please keep it to that. Also please show how intelligent Dr Carr is without making the men stupid in order to make her smart. I'm anxiously waiting for a moment that shows her powerful mind at work, not her power because she's a gay woman in the 70's. Let her be badass with no catalysts.

Childrens missing
AvionPrince1619 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
An interesting investigation. We know also more Wendy and she dated a young girl. She showed also a very good skills in interview with the killer of another guy. Holden is still investigate and have maybe a profile of a man that can fit the murder of the young childrens. Bill also have family problems. Holden also comeback again to the family's victim and told them that the case is official now. A nice episode that we wondering if they will catch the killer.

It gets worse and worse
justintannerpw122 August 2019
No human ever sounded like this. The script seems as if it was written by a computer program. The scene between the two women in the bowling alley is some of the worst writing I've ever heard. If there's ever been a more precipitous drop between first and second season of a show I've never seen it. Bad, just plain bad.

worst episode of whole great Mindhunter series
ajikude29 January 2020
The actress playing Dr.Wendy Carr was just so poor and bad acting, her character meaninless almost and the relationship they try to build in this episode looked ffake and forced with alot of dull flat moments that made me want to push th fast forward button....They wasted so much time making her character talk nonsense that made you yawn.
