Ralph Dibny : Where's Iris?
Barry Allen : Uh, I honestly don't know. We're not really seeing eye to eye right now.
Joe West : Because?
Barry Allen : Because I took Nora home for good.
Joe West : Nora's gone?
Caitlin Snow : Just like that?
Sherloque Wells : Well, only thing to do, really, because Nora can't be trusted.
[seeing their looks]
Sherloque Wells : I can deduce from your faces that you're upset, but you understand the truth need to be exposed.
Ralph Dibny : Yes, we understand that. What you don't understand is that this is a family. You didn't include anyone in this.
-
Joe West : The nurses heard a crash in the middle of the night, but nobody saw anything. By the time they got here, Grace was gone.
Barry Allen : Judging by the thermal warping in this glass, an energy blast with a lot of heat took out the window. But I don't really think we need any clues to know who took her.
Joe West : [leaving the scene] Future Grace steals past Grace. I don't even know if there's a police code for kidnapping yourself.
-
Joe West : I don't suppose Icicle left any frozen fingerprints behind?
Barry Allen : No, but this docking station is lined with a carbon-filled kapton polymide. NASA uses it to build probes meant for the coldest reaches of space.
Joe West : There's a lot of fresh puddles in here. You think he stole whatever kept this place cold?
Barry Allen : Try way beyond cold.
Joe West : Why would he want it?
Barry Allen : Uh, you're gonna have to ask Carla when she's done filing the theft report, or Caitlin when she gets here. I'm not sure about much lately.
-
Barry Allen : Are you okay?
Caitlin Snow : I will be as soon as we find Icicle. Uh, my mom told me what he stole. It's a prototype cryo-atomizer.
Joe West : And what can he do with that?
Caitlin Snow : Nothing good.
-
Iris West-Allen : How's Caitlin and her mom?
Barry Allen : Caitlin is still running some tests, but she thinks Carla's gonna be okay. I mean, as okay as she can be given the circumstances.
Iris West-Allen : Why was Cicada II even there tonight? I mean, why attack Icicle and Caitlin?
Sherloque Wells : Perhaps the ice meta were not the primary target.
Barry Allen : What could Cicada II want with the cryo-atomizer?
Joe West : Well, we're not gonna figure it out tonight. So let's rest tonight. Are you coming back to the house?
Iris West-Allen : Um...
[glancing at Barry]
Iris West-Allen : No, I'm gonna stay at the loft tonight.
Barry Allen : You are?
Iris West-Allen : Yeah. We should talk.
-
Joe West : Hey, Bar... have you talked to Iris since she left?
Barry Allen : I'm just giving her some space.
Joe West : All right, just make sure you don't give her too much.
-
Caitlin Snow : So, the cryo-atomizer has the ability to disperse particles into the atmosphere. Particles that slow down atoms to a grinding halt. And the slower they get...
Barry Allen : The colder they get.
Joe West : How cold are we talking?
Caitlin Snow : Absolute zero.
[showing them a map of the city]
Caitlin Snow : And if we combine them with Icicle's meta powers...
Barry Allen : He could plunge Central City into a new Ice Age.
-
Caitlin Snow : I think we can track the nano-cryoparticles inside the atomizer. We just have to re-program an oscilating inversion scanner. Do you mind running to the downstairs storage area and grabbing it?
Barry Allen : Mm-hmm.
Dr. Carla Tannhauser : Wait. You should use a modified field array. There's one in the upstairs archives.
Caitlin Snow : No, no, actually the inversion scanner would work best. Thank you.
Dr. Carla Tannhauser : No, no. Not since we upgraded our field arrays last year. You know, you would know that if you visited more, not just when you needed something.
Caitlin Snow : Apparently only when I need the wrong thing. The inversion scanner.
Dr. Carla Tannhauser : The field array.
Barry Allen : [aware of the awkwardness] I'll get both. Might take my time.
Joe West : You need help?
Barry Allen : No.
-
Joe West : So you went to to the future?
Ralph Dibny : Yeah. John Stamos still handsome.
Sherloque Wells : He'll never not age.
Ralph Dibny : No, never. Man, he looks good.
-
Joe West : [trying to rescusitate the Flash] I can barely feel his pulse.
Sherloque Wells : He has hypothermia. His heart rate's dropping. We only have seconds to save him.
-
Joe West : What are you doing?
Sherloque Wells : Well, this...
[trying to pry a door off]
Sherloque Wells : This machine has a large power source I need to access to save monsieur Allen.
Joe West : Watch out.
[he yanks the door off]
Sherloque Wells : That will work. Stand back.
-
Sherloque Wells : This current should heat up the copper wiring of his suit's circuitry, and we just need to heat it up enough so that his speed healing kicks in.
Joe West : Is this safe?
Sherloque Wells : Safer than dying.
[contacting the wires with Barry's suit]
Sherloque Wells : Come on, monsieur Allen.
Joe West : Barry?
Sherloque Wells : Come on.
Joe West : Barr!
The Flash : [jerking awake with a gasp] Icicle. He has them.
Sherloque Wells : [catching Flash as he stands up unsteadily] No, no, no, no, monsieur.
Joe West : No, no, wait. No, wait.
Sherloque Wells : In time, in time. First, you rest. Then we bring them home together.
-
Barry Allen : There's no leads. There's no hits on Icicle's cryo-signature, no reads on facial recognition, nothing.
Joe West : Bar, we'll find him. We always do.
Barry Allen : How, Joe? How are we gonna find them? Caitlin's kidnapped. We need Caitlin to find Caitlin. Cisco's on another Earth and Iris won't even answer my calls! I... I don't know how to fix any of this.
-
Sherloque Wells : It occurs to me that hiding a needle in a haystack is good. Hiding a needle in a stack of needles? That's better.
[tapping on a keypad, putting information on a TV plasma]
Sherloque Wells : These are all the cold spots in the area.
Barry Allen : You think Icicle is masking his cryo-signature with something that's already cold?
Sherloque Wells : Giving him the perfect cover. So we just re-focus our search, look for temperature anomalies in already existing cold spots, et voila.
Barry Allen : This is great. I'll start re-tasking the satellites.
Joe West : Hey, thanks for your help.
Sherloque Wells : The least I can do.
-
Joe West : Okay, explain again why I'm here doing this and not anybody else?
Sherloque Wells : It appears we're a bit short-staffed at the moment.
Joe West : All right, if it's just us, it's just us. Let's do this.
Sherloque Wells : Let's do this thing.
Iris West-Allen : [entering with Ralph] What's happening?
Joe West : [relieved] Oh, great.
Sherloque Wells : Ah, good.
-
Joe West : Okay, Icicle has Caitlin and her mom in some caves north of the Badlands.
Sherloque Wells : Well, the Flash is already on the scene. So for all we know, the problem is already solved.
The Flash : Guys, I have a problem.
Sherloque Wells : Or not.
-
The Flash : I need to phase Carla out of a cryo-chamber, but it's too cold. I can't even touch it.
Joe West : All right, we need heat fast.
Iris West-Allen : What if he generates a lightning bolt?
Joe West : He can't throw a bolt. That would kill her.
Ralph Dibny : Then why doesn't he just, uh, hold onto it?
Joe West : That could kill him!
