The other side of paranoia...
RealLiveClaude15 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The mid-season finale of Riverdale had it all: a Jones' family reunion. Archie's on the run, the Sisters are beating the hell of a Gargoyle... and Hiram Lodge tightens his grip on the small city...

What was cool was the way Jughead met with his mother and sister. Hope we see more of Gina Gershon, she stole the scene here.

And Betty convinces Ethel that the Gargoyle King is a scam thing...

And of course, a real Gargoyle King did impose his law over Riverdale, he has money... And wanted to exile his prized daughter to New York... And creates a "false" disease with drug candy...

Paranoia has invaded Riverdale. Though Archie's exile getting him to Canada, the Joneses will have to face a complete city lockdown before going home...

Amazingly Made....

'Outbreak' is the mid-season finale of Riverdale season 3. The acting was remarkable especially Gina's, we could just feel the motherly love for Jughead (Cole Sprouse). The story was beautifully written and the videography and directing was amazing done. The ending was something I could look forward to. This episode had a good level of emotions.

I can't wait to see what comes next.

Insane!

Warning: Spoilers
This show is like a roller-coaster! LOL Just when I think it can't possibly surprise me anymore, it pulls another rabbit out of the hat. Having been disappointed by the previous episode, which felt like bad filler, this episode more than made up for it by doing what Riverdale does best, involves a lot of characters in the weekly shenanigans, while at the same time telling a juicy story and tying up loose ends in a way that actually doesn't insult the viewers' intelligence. And the cast of the show just gets even bigger, introducing in this episode the long-awaited arrivals of Gladys and Jellybean, the respective Mom and Sis to Jughead. Or more like Jughead, along with his BFF Archie, goes to them in Toledo, as the dynamic duo are on the run from Hiram and his treachery of the G&G game. In particular, I was wow-ed by the performance of Gina Gershon as Gladys Jones. The actress just steps into an already iconic series into it's 3rd season and it's like she's been in Riverdale all along. The casting of the adults on this show continues to be spot on. At times, I wish the show would just be about them, or at least give them more to do. In fact, in addition to Gladys, the best bits in the episode involved several interactions involving the parents and their kids: Fred-Archie, Penelope-Cheryl, FP-Jughead/Jellybean, Hiram/Hermione-Veronica. Also, there were some rare teen pairings in this episode that were a refreshing change, like Betty-Ethel, Veronica-Reggie, and Veronica-Cheryl. But all these interactions were woven into an intricate and involving storyline, which is why this mid-season finale is among the series' best offering. And Season 3B looks just as good. Riverdale continues to amaze!

Incredible, a masterpiece

Warning: Spoilers
Possibly the greatest Riverdale episode. We had everything, a Jones family reunion, the growing bromance between Jug and Arch, one of the most thrilling Betty storylines to this day, Penny's return, the revival of Ethel from being the worst character on the show, the smack down to Sister Woodhouse. Everything was great. Storyline rating: Betty at Quiet Mercy: 9/10 - best storyline since Black Hood for Betty Jug & Arch in Toledo: 9/10 - best storyline with Jug and Arch together Lodge War + Seizures: 7/10 - decent, Veronica is getting a little boring without the likes of Arch, Betty and Jug, great at the end though! And the ending was fantastic, Hiram Lodge's takeover of Riverdale, so far the best season! Overall and amazing episode that was thrilling, entertaining, heartfelt and satisfying. Aside for S2 E21, this is the best episode of Riverdale.

Love this show

Riverdale just keeps getting better and better, and by the looks of it, it's crossing over with Sabrina which I think is a great idea. The characters and actors are amazing and the story keeps you on your toes.

Well done Netflix
