Brett Tucker and Charlie Brooks.
Fremantle will produce Breathless, a four-part thriller created by Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison for Network 10 and the UK’s Channel 5, using a production model designed as a precursor for more short-run dramas.
Directed by Scott Major, the miniseries will feature Aussie Brett Tucker and former EastEnders star Charlie Brooks as a couple in the UK who seek a fresh start in Australia after infidelity threatens their marriage.
That’s until they hire a nanny (yet to be cast), who isn’t as innocent as she appears and there are deadly consequences.
This is the first co-commission by 10 and Channel 5 since the completion of the ViacomCBS merger. The sibling networks collaborated on Neighbours spin-off series Neighbours: Erinsborough High, which premiered on their respective digital streaming services 10 Play and My5.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… literally every CW superhero you could possibly imagine, and then some. The network on Tuesday released the final trailer for this year’s Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” a five-part event that brings together key players from across the multiverse to defeat the Anti-Monitor and save their worlds.
This year’s crossover — which spans episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow — is so massive, in fact, that The CW is even bringing Black Lightning into the fold.

Toys Are Not For Children will be available on Blu-ray October 8th from Arrow Video
Psychological trauma and aberrant sexuality abound in this twisted 1972 tale of a young woman whose severe daddy issues send her on an unforgettably bleak downward spiral. Yearning for the love of her absentee father, Jamie inhabits an infantilized world surrounded by toys, including those which her wayward pops bizarrely continues to send her. Unable to consummate her new marriage with dashing colleague Charlie, Jamie s chance encounter with aging sex worker Pearl leads her into the murky world of prostitution where her most disturbing erotic fantasies begin to play out.
Grim, quirky and strangely affecting in equal measure, Stanley H. Brasloff’s Toys Are Not for Children is a truly one-of-a-kind effort from the heyday of the American exploitation independents, which builds to a haunting and devastating climax that lingers long after the credits roll.
