When Henry tells Schwoz, Charlotte and Jasper the story of how Rick Twitler stole his superpower, the story comes out differently than how it happened. This is known as the Rashomon effect, based on the 1950 Japanese film directed and written by Akira Kurosawa, demonstrating how subjectivity alters recollections and changes the details. (Other examples of TV series using this approach: (1) All in the Family: Everybody Tells the Truth, (2) Star Trek Next Generation: A Matter of Perspective, (3) Power Rangers S.P.D.: Perspective.)
This episode was originally titled Power Outage: Part 2.
The Props Department made multiple replicas of Piper's puzzle just in case the breaking scene went wrong and they needed to re-film, otherwise it would have taken a long time to rebuild.
Henry Hart (Jace Norman) reels off some Spanish. He hasn't had to do that since one of the early seasons in the series.
Schwoz referring his rock by the name Dwayne is a parody of Dwayne Johnson going by the name The Rock in real life.
