Bit off a filler episode
ammodias11 June 2019
This one had good points and bad points, but on the main felt like a bit of filler where they move a couple of things on but nothing to much just decide the season finale.

A new leader emerges

I really like how Rose (Jamie King's) character stepped up as a leader. I'm wondering who Steep is and can he be trusted?

Big build-up for what?

Warning: Spoilers
Spears killed the real Spears, and we saw Govenale and Bronk on the roof of "Heist" which got me excited, theres gonna be a confrontation, but no. They took him in the night, stole his jacket and got shot in the back of the head. Well, Govenale was, Bronk got shot in the back but he stayed down anyways. I was hoping for a more exciting confrontation than that - maybe revealing his real name and what he did to Spears to everyone so there's a debate of what to do with him rather than Rose just killing two innocent soldiers who were going to help them. Really makes me struggle to connect with Rose when she wont shoot a kid who's aiming a gun at them and is obviously feral already (somehow) but is fine shooting those two.

Also, the dog thing. Dear lord, I hate the title cards and in episode 4 I left a review talking about the dog one. So it had meaning in the end. It was Earls dog. I take it back, wait no I dont because WHO IS EARL? Is he a Meeseeks? He appears, helps out, then dissappears. Only difference is he doesn't say a word. The only purpose that character served was to get the main crew out of a situation they couldn't get out of themselves. He seems more like a plot convienience than an actual character.

At least it seems like Abram Cox and John Hyams are on the same page with the pace of the show now though, but this was John Hyams weakest episode yet. Better than episode 3 & 4 though.
