Good from acting side but biased and not objective at all
kh_kh_2020200219 April 2020
In just one house it was good not to get bored of the movie, but the ideas were not objective at all, no wonder the writer is Ibrahim essa !

Beautiful movie with a another disgusting political agenda.
AmrKhairi20 July 2020
Great cinematography, great scenario with acting above the average but the political views that are trying to be invisible are quite visible, especially if you know who writer is and his political positions.

My assessment was only the entire staff, with the exception of the scenario because it was not objective and did not raise any real questions, all that is is to mobilize the brain with the writer's ideas, the strength of his dialogues, and a change in the size of the other opinion.

Superb acting and politically charged and mediocre story
Aj20216 January 2021
The leading actor did not disappoint me at all. However, they executed a highly charged and propaganda driven scenario.

Real message through true art. Must watch.
ziyadabouchair20 April 2020
The directness of the movie and how it got the message transmitted through simple scenery and methods is what makes this important movie so enjoyable to watch. The message of the movie comes at a time when it is most needed and how it is artistically presented is what is most intriguing. A must watch movie regardless of our backgrounds, a movie destined to all ages, all nationalities, all religions...

Divisive, biased and stereotyping
waelmwahby2 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Although the film started as a realistic dialogue between a characters that seem realistic .. religious and liberal personalities that most Egyptians know people like in real life, the film ends by religion-phobic stereotyping of the religious character .. by a twist where he turns out to be a terrorist and murderer .. as if all religious people are terrorists!!.. a sick and discriminatory ending protesting the bias of the writer against religious people .. The film would have been much more interesting if it allowed both characters to express their points of view and had an open ending where we don't know of the protagonist actually marries the daughter of his rival .. and allowing viewers to reflect on this

Exceptional Acting
Ahmadkkotb5 December 2020
Honestly, while the story was somewhat debate documentary style, I think it did an exceptional job with the cinematography and it's really rare one can say every actor in this movie did an amazing job. Extremely entertaining thriller with a slow burn twist. Absolutely loved it.

Fruit of the poisoned tree
ahmedhussein87428 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is a good idea to show the differences between two opinions in a fair way, However, The turnover that happened at the end of the movie reveal the main message of it which is showing that a conservative muslim (Salfi) is terrorist and a liberal thinker is the victim and I felt it is kind of putting the poison in honey "Fruit of the poisoned tree"

Good acting but doesn't justify how terrible the story is
naderbadawy28 January 2021
So the main headline of the story, you either agree with the writer's point of view, or you're automatically classifird as either an ignorant or a terrorist, as simple as that. Pure Intellectual terrorism

Lame story
ashalash1826 March 2020
Lame senario the writer is spoonfeeding us his points of view in a very straightforward fashion. Like reading a lecture not watching a movie

A brave story and a great movie
vivadeer19 March 2022
A brave movie that opposes Islamic theocracy, the writer and actors could get killed for this piece of art yet they chose to do it any way, this in itself is act of heroism and defiance.

ISIS and Muslim brotherhood supporters are angry that this movie was made because the story exposes them, the personality of the boy terrorist is exactly what we all experienced in government universities in Egypt since the late 90s and finally someone spoke up about it without fear.

Peace.

Acting is 7/10, Story 2/10
Yourfavoritedirector20 April 2020
Again the Egyptian film industry is based on ignorance and is going in one direction only (regime's Agenda). This movie is superficial and distorting all the way from the beginning to the end.

Talks about religion freedom but...
nofy-1731 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure how to describe the misleading information that the movie shows at the hall movie time about Islam, It just represent the muslims in a wrong way and pretend that all of them are terrorists.

The film is unfortunately not neutral and clearly attacking Islam religion in the name of freedom of speech.

Bad acting from the younger actors
shorouqhelal20 May 2023
The ideas were strong and to the point, but the presentation was not as strong, but it was acceptable. The only thing that was unacceptable was Ahmed Malik's acting and Jamila's frozen reactions. Bad acting, good writing, classic idea but also good.

I have to say I loved putting sherin reda as a Christian and gamila awad as a follower so not all people will deal well with independence so she had to learn the hard way her lesson that freedom of thinking and speech and conducting your life isn't a burden, it's right and no good comes from giving it up

I hope to see more like this in Egypt anyway.
