This remake of a Welsh language mystery series borrows heavily from Agatha Christie motifs, you can see it in the opening scenes.
It starts off with a death and we then spool back 15 days to find out how we arrive here.
The first episode has a brooding moody scandi noir air to it but it is populated by an unlikable family who arrive to a welsh farmhouse.
The four estranged siblings gather to scatter their mother's ashes. Each have designs and plans for the farmland. One brother died some years ago as their late father ran him over in their drive.
This is a bitter family hiding dark secrets. Unfortunately the first episode was rather weak and cliched. There was no style in the direction. You think that as this was an original commission for Channel 5, the producers made something cheap but functional with only Catherine Tyldesley late of Coronation Street being the most well known face.
