Episode 2
Prismark1012 February 2022
The second episode of Four Lives. More dead bodies of young men are found in the same vicinity. In this case the same dog walker discovers another one.

The police find nothing suspicious about it at all. They make all the right noises to the relatives of the deceased and feign concern.

The family liaison officer DC Slaymaker appears to be compassionate and caring. It is all lip service, he is going through the motions.

These were young gay men who overdosed on drugs. Case closed despite the drugs being date rape ones.

Sarah Sak is still fighting for justice for her son Anthony even though it is putting her marriage at risk.

Her husband Sami sees Stephen Port at court and is convinced that he is a murderer. Port appeared in court for moving Anthony's body and lying about it. He was sentenced to 8 months in prison and released after serving half of it.

By the end of the second episode it seems Port has been let off lightly. Free to murder again.

The police constantly rule out that there is anything suspicious going on. I doubt the relatives of the victims were not the only ones who were left angry and frustrated by police incompetence.

How come the cops are so credulous?

Warning: Spoilers
This has to be based on a true story. I have never seen tv cops portrayed as so...incurious in my life. Every dead body they encounter, they take it at face value. Three dead gay men in the same area, they don't see a pattern. Vaguely written suicide note that loved ones are skeptical about? Who cares! What a bunch of clods.
