Black Day Blue Night (1995)
Plot, setting, reminiscent of Red Rock West
I saw this movie on video recently, and was often reminded of Red Rock West. Most notably J.T. Walsh as the sheriff, and many of the desert settings recalled the earlier movie. I will not give any spoilers, but will say the movie has enough differences to make it worth seeing.
Then Came Bronson (1969)
Motorcycle Adventure TV series...
A great TV series that tells the story of a nomadic motorcycle rider, Jim Bronson (Michael Parks). Each of the 26 episodes told of an adventure involving Bronson and the people and places he encounters on his travels. Each show ends with a lesson learned and Bronson heading down the highway, to the tune of " Long Lonesome Highway". (Performed by Parks)
The opening scene of each episode is a classic, Bronson and a businessman in a station wagon exchange dialog that will make you want to leave the rat race, and buy a motorcycle.
Highly recommended if you are able to catch an airing of this program. I am sure many of the situations will be somewhat dated if viewed from a modern perspective, but it still captures the essence of what makes motorcycling appealing to many people.

The Kinks: One for the Road (1980)
The Kinks Live!
A great concert film by the Kinks filmed on their "Low Budget" tour. Ray and Dave Davies are in fine form, and the set shows bow the Kinks have influenced modern music. Their songs have been covered by many bands including the Pretenders and Van Halen.
The filming and editing are perhaps a bit dated, but that possibly adds to the charm of the performance. The Kinks were never the most polished act in the business, but they have always come across as an honest group that wasn't just in it for the money.
The video is probably a bit difficult to find these days but is well worth the effort to look up, for old and new fans alike!
