Warning: Parental Advisory (2002)
Great flick!
Yes, it was campy. Yes, it may have taken a few liberties with the actual historical events. But it made a great movie. The cartoonish tone fits in with what me and most of my friends were saying about the PMRC at the time..."You're kidding me, right?"
Whether you love or hate the movie, the closing credits are a Must See... I wonder if Tipper is going to be after whoever leaked her personal fantasies?

The Haunting (1999)
Terrible...
Although the makers of the Haunting claim that it is based on the classic, "The Haunting of Hill House", the only thing the two have in common is the names of the characters. I could live even with this if the movie hadn't had such a cheesy ending. Why do Hollywood folks seem to think that movies must have some sort of happy ending? The original story was a tragedy, and it's been turned into some god-awful redemption and salvation story. I'll give it this much, the interiors were creepy. That was ruined, though, by all the CGI crap. I think CGI is great, but I'm afraid that CGI is taking the place of story and camera work. "The Blair Witch Project" had no effects, no fancy equipment, and it still scared the crap out of me. As a plea to filmmakers, please don't assume we won't like the movie unless we can see everything! Sometimes what isn't seen is the most effective.
