King Kong (2005)
Way too long
I think that when you start watching at your clock a few more than one hour after the beginning of the film, well, something is going wrong.
It's not that I didn't like the movie: in my very humble opinion, technically speaking it's for sure a great film. The '30s New York is just plain great and Kong is... Well, when you'll see him you won't believe at your eyes, but... Why making it THAT long? Were all those dinosaurs/giant insects/strange animals scenes really necessary? Had all that (long) New York introduction really to be put in it? Just my five cents: I'm not a so-called cinephile but just a guy who likes cinema and an early-days Jackson fan, but... Well, Peter, this time you deceived me a little.
The Incredible Torture Show (1976)
Seeking trash, found scum.
I found the tape in a newspaper store. I was looking for some trash-movie to watch, and this one was cheap and the cover looked really cheesy... And it was quite cheap too, so I decided to buy it.
IMHO I never spent my money in a worst way. It is a very bad movie with bad actors and a ridiculous plot. Just an excuse to show all those nude girls and those no-special-effect-at-all kind-of-dismembering scenes.
No fear, no laughing. Nothing at all. I saw the last minutes in fast-forward mode.
In a few words, I was looking for trash but I found only scum.
