Mission: Improbable (2000)
Hilarious short film
If you bought the Mission: Impossible 2 DVD, you may have stumbled across this funny little short film starring Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, and John Woo. It originally aired on the 2000 MTV Movie Awards, which is where I originally saw it.
Ben Stiller isn't Tom Cruise's stunt double, but his stunt oneble. This is his experience in making M:I-2 with TC. Even if you didn't like M:I-2, I'd prefer you buy it anyway, for this short.
American Beauty (1999)
A modern AMERICAN classic, which well deserved the 1999 Best Picture award.
If you've seen AMERICAN BEAUTY, DreamWorks' Oscar-winning film starring Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening, then you know it is a great, modern American classic. Kevin Spacey portrays a middle-aged man, currently going through mid-life crisis, who is now deceased and telling his story. In his story, taking place in present-day suburban America (no location given), he goes through many obstacles with his family and friends. He has a crush on his daughter's best friend, his wife is cheating on him, and he even takes up smoking pot. A not-so-family-film that, unlike most, ends with an unhappy ending. Everyone who's anyone will love it. I hope you enjoy it, I certainly did.
Schindler's List (1993)
Spielberg's amazing WW2 classic, which tells the true story of a Nazi, Oskar Schindler, who saved the lives of hundreds of Jews.
Everyone who's seen SCHINDLER'S LIST, Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning 1993 film distributed by Universal, has loved it. Most even cried (myself included), due to the realistic Holocaust story. The film takes place, of course, in WW2. Starting in 1939, a German man named Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) comes into quick fame at a Nazi private party, using only his money and suave manor. With help from high-ranking Nazi officers, he starts up a pots and pans factory to help the Jews work. After a few years, when we have seen many Jews massacred and shot, Schindler makes a list of Jews, to be escorted to a German arms factory in his home town, and saves them from a trigger-happy, power-mad Nazi officer (portrayed by Ralph Fiennes). After YOU (who haven't seen it) see it, you will agree that it will not soon be a forgotten masterpiece.
