The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
The most amazingly acted, scripted and tense thriller ever.
The actors are amazing, the script is almost flawless, the tension remains for as long as your imagination permits and out of around 300 films that I've seen this is my favorite film of all time so far... Hopefully the Hannibal film will live up to the novel and match the understated intelligence of both Anthony Hopkins' and Jodie Foster's performances in T.S.O.T.L.
The Elephant Man (1980)
If popularity followed a truly amazing film than this would be in the top 20.
The place of this movie does not do it justice. The most sensitive and sweet film I've seen in a long time. This film should be seen by any David Lynch fan or any fan of film, to be honest. It creates a dreamlike reality of vulnerability and innocence which adds to a moving performance from John Hurt in this true story of a man who forgives and overcomes the hardship forced upon him by societies ignorance.
A Change of Seasons (1980)
Why is Anthony Hopkins in a film as unbelievably pointless as this?
This is the most pointless, tedious, unbelievably dull and ridiculous film that I have ever seen. The most annoying thing is the fact that you can still tell Anthony Hopkins is a good actor!! It's so bad that I have ran out of things to say and must simply fill the space............
