Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
The Wondrous World of Harry Potter comes to life.
I've been anticipating this film for more than a year, and finally I saw it last night, at 10PM. I've read all four books several times, the first one the most, and I just can't get enough of Hogwarts. When I saw the film I was a thinking about how the sped through the beginning, and cut out a lot of dialouge. At Hogwarts I thought they could have done more with the school, and the classes to make it more magical, but I thought the special effects were brilliant!! THe Weasley Twins were so funny, although they didn't really have any big lines. Unfortunately they skipped out my favorite part when they say 'We know our names are Gred and Forge'. Hagrid was JUST as I imagined him and I was so pleased. Percy might not have been snooty enough, Hermione was so great, especially in her first seen, Ron was hysterical with all of his sarcastic, witty lines, Harry was magnificent! I must say, Harry Potter must be a hard part to play in a movie because basically the whole book was him thinking, and Daniel Radcliffe had to portray that through his facial expressions. I loved all the teachers, with the exception of Snape, he didn't look anything like a imagined, but he was still good.
I just wish that they hadn't changed so many parts, and cut it, and rushed through the beginning, because I really loved the book. I thought the movie was great! And I loved it too, but nothing, can compare to the books. If I had to rate this film, I would probably give it about 8/10. :D
Oh and, I thought Neville was perfect!! Especially at the end when he's given ten points.
In Love and War (1996)
In War they found each other... In each other they found love.
I rented this a few days ago because it has Sandra Bullock in it. I thought it was going to be a nice happy romance. But I guess I was wrong, I didn't read the back. I still liked it, don't get me wrong. I thought Sandra Bullock said she wouldn't do movies where she had to be naked. She wasn't really naked in this, but her backside was shown bare. I liked it anyway, and I cried hard at the end. I rate it 7/10.
State of Grace (2001)
Love it!
I love this show. I simply wanted to watch this because of Mae Whitman. I am a huge Sandra Bullock fan, and when I saw Hope Floats Mae Whitman seemed like she was a pretty good actress. So I found out she's in this new show, and I just watched two episodes today. I found it very funny, and entertaining. :D Keep up the good work.
Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)
Ok, I admit..
I admit that this is not the best film ever made. I'm a huge Sandra Bullock fan, practically obsessed. This movie is no where near as good as the original, and I'd heard that before I rented it. None the less I saw it anyway, because it has Sandy in it. I wasn't disappointed because I knew it was bad, and it was. Sandra looked gorgeous, as always, but if Keanu Reeves was in it, it would have been a little better.
What I don't understand is all these negative people saying "YUCK! Sandra's annoying, and this was worse than the first" Blahdy blah! If you didn't like the first one, why see the second one!!! Serves you right. I didn't think it was as bad as some of the things I've seen. I didn't find the action scenes as exciting as the first, but it was ok.
I think Sandra Bullock acted what she could, and she made it better then it would have been without her. I may be young, but I understand things like this. If I had to rate it out of ten.. I'd give it.. 4/10.
Speed (1994)
Great movie! I was sorry it ended!
Oh my gosh. This is my favorite movie. I'm obsessed with Sandra Bullock and I just saw this flick two days ago. It's so good. I loved it. I was so sorry it ended, it only seemed like it was on for a short while. Keanu Reeves is so charming, and Sandra was as gorgeous as ever! :D 10/10! :D
Miss Congeniality (2000)
I saw this..
... Four times in theatres and I just bought it today, on video. (May 1) Which happens to be the day it releases. Sandra Bullock is my all time favorite actress, and some even say I'm obsessed. Maybe everyone. Miss Congeniality is my favorite of all of her movies. I loved the plot and Michael Caine was hilarious!
