Decoupled (2021)
Dont go by the media review
Really enjoyed the show.. Yes there are problems in the Screenplay.. It somehow gets messed up in the later episodes.. But this is an uncommon territory of humour that i can hardly remember any other indian tv show offered till date. It touches " sensitive " topics what most of the creators purposefully avoid for the sake of being "politically correct". But here the politically incorrect jokes land and that too in such a precision that it does not offend ( atleast it seems so) even a ' hypersensitive audience like ours. The acting espeically by R Madhaban is brilliant. It definitely deserves a watch..
Aranyak (2021)
Worth watching..
Set in a sleepy hilltown this is a well made who done it thriller which makes the audiences keep guessing until the end. The influence of classical thriller of similar genre like "murder on the orient express" is clear. Or some might say the recently released hotstar Drama "Mare of eastown". Here also a local middle aged female cop who knows her locality and its people from deep inside pairs with a younger male cop after some initial clash of ego and eventually shares a bond. Apart from few loose ends the story is intruiging.. The beautiful cinematography creates the perfect ambience of sleepy small town with its myths and has become a character itself. Some characters are not well made. There is lack of sincerty at parts in dialogue writing which can be ignored. The buildup was excellent but seemed a bit rashed in the last two episodes. The actors did their part. The protagonists and the side actors are believable apart from there accents which lacks authenticity at places. Parambrata Chattopadhyay made a sincere attempt but could not hide his typical Bengali accent. The director could have help him with a bengali name instead.
8/10... Definitely one should give a try. I would like to rank it definitely within first 5 indian thriller series in OTT platform.
Mare of Easttown (2021)
The ending kinda disappointed
Really liked the show; was hooked up till the end.. What a performance by kate winslet; our childhood crush ; the diva from titanic to a completely de-glamourised ; small town detective who is a grand mother. The story was complex; with delicate humane portrayals of crime and punishment. The conflicts of truth ; lies; and duties were intricately depicted. The story starts with a bang from the very first episode and keeps the audience hooked up with a perfect who done it crime drama. As the story progressed the secrets of the small uneventful town where Detective s bored with petty crimes like burglaries unveils. The end of the near perfect crime drama somehow felt like a little bit dragged and made up in order to add some extra surprise elements... Few important qs was not answered. Like why the body was found naked when there were no sexual angle.. the crime was just an accident by a minor. All the starcast was nearly perfect..8/10.
Aspirants (2021)
Even better than Kota factory
TVF never fails to deliver; the premise was somewhat known; there were every chance of reminiscences from similar story of struggle of IIT aspirants in kota factory..but it delivered.. and it is a BANG! The thing with TVF is their stories; all the characters are very known.. like we know them from our neighbourhood; college campus; hostels.. the way the talk; they think; they react.. every thing is so known.. that is why the touches the very soul of the urban indian viewers; which is very much missing in the mainstream bollywood movies.. I really think TVF has an immense impact on the recent new age small to middle budget bollywood movies eyeing on this urban middle class audience... Coming to Aspirants they story telling is fresh... with intricate details of humane emotions; the lead character. Abhilash played by Naveen Kasturia is brilliant.. the way he transforms himself from the fragile hesitant IAS aspirant to a confident IAS officer just by changing the facial expression is amazing ( and ofcourse with a help of an appropriate moustache). The other supporting actors are equally good.. TVF has previously delivered brilliant actors like Gajraj ji to bollywood. I will be disappointed if bollywood fails to acknowledge the other brilliant actors from this particular series. The Songs are not upto the mark.. and over use of forced marketing of UNACADEMY ( the sponsor of the show) could have been avoided.
Undercover (2019)
Unexpectedly good
To speak the truth this is my first experience of watching any dutch series; I must say i am really surprised; an intriguing and humane tale of two undercover agents; no there are no high paced action scenes; but it never bores you.. a very well acted series.. every possible loose ends were taken care of.. BUT the second season at some points seemed a bit dragged out; cliched; and somehow very unrealistic compared to the first season...
Warrior: Man on the Wall (2020)
8/10
Overall it was a great season.. but the finale couldnt reach upto to the expectations; espeically after such a brilliant penultimate episode.. Wish more exciting stories are gonna unfold in the upcoming season post credit scene has given a glimse of it.. waiting for an even more exciting season 3. DONT MAKE US WAIT TOO LONG
Ava (2020)

Warrior: Enter the Dragon (2020)
Just Wowww...
This is insane.. dont knw why more ppl are not talking about this show.. this is getting better and better each episode.. and this very episode is one of the best episodes of all the tv shows this year..that very scene when all of the tong members lined up to fight the irish mob gave me goosebumps. Although the series started with kinda superficial action packed show.. they way they dealt with eternal conflicts of identity politics.. cheap labour vs local unemployed labour issue.. and politics of riot.. how unemployment; poverty all these issues are misdirected to communal hatred.. all these things are beautifully shown in this season.. its a really commendable job by the writers.. especially being in a premise of full hardcore entiretainment.. its brilliant....
Warrior: To a Man With a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail (2020)
Superb episode.. the best till now
Dont know why more people are not talking about this series.. its getting better and better each episode.. and this episode is very special.. its like a self sufficient movie itself..
