Kindred: The Embraced (1996)

I really enjoyed watching this TV show. I thought it was very creative in its way. Im not a fan of RPG games, so when i heard this show was based on one I was shocked. Anyway this Show stared C.Thomas Howell and Mark Frankel, who in my veiw are two very good actors. Altough Howell was promoted as he main charactor in previews and such I found tat Frankel was in it alot more than anyone else, so even if the show lasted past 9 Episodes it was be off now because Frankel passed away in 1996, before he even became really broke into major fame.

With that said i guess i could go and go into detail about what this show is about. But i do not want to do that. What i do want to do is tell about the first episode. This episode was so good that i think it could of been made into a movie had it been rewritten into a more indepth screen play. The first episode really got my attention. Anyway im not going to give away what happens in this first eposode i would rather you see it your self. You can find Kindred the Embrased at most blackbusters.

Ripped off an entire seen from Dirty Harry

This movie was a stupid film. One of the stupidest ever made. Kiss the girls wasnt much better but this one was a major let down. They stole an intire seen from Dirty Harry. You know the seen where freeman is running down the city picking up phones as the kidnapper calls. Well guess what the same thing happened in Dirty Harry....

PS. the screen play sounded like it was made by a crack head

Kids (1995)

STUPID STUPID STUPID AND VERY SICK

I dont care what you fools think Kids is a disgrace to film. This movie is not worth the film that filmed it. I mean yeah maybe it is true to life and stuff but that dosnt mean its good. In fact if you ask me this movie sucks.

This movie is made like a movie that would be shown to you by a sex ed teachor. The acting: well im not going to make fun of it because it was alright. However Larry Clark is a very bad film maker. (Kids is the only one i have seen but i hated it) Come one now you cant call this film a movie ether though because even though there is a plot it does not really stand out. So it is more like a cheap MTV saga.

Dog Day Afternoon (1975)

Dogs Day Afternoon staring the great Al Pacino is simply a great film. It is about a bank robbery gone rong. I know these hostage movies get old but never the less this one was great. Pacino does a great job(Nothing new) The screen play was good, and the director was also did a great job. SEE THIS MOVIE YOU WILL LIKE IT.

Attila (2001)

make a bad man look good

As far as entertainment goes Attila was pretty good. As far as being historically factual Attila was not so good. Although its true they got most of the facts right, I find it hard to believe that a character who is put down in history books as being a crule man could be such a good person. Then again it is a movie and Attila happened to be a pretty good one as that.

Attila as it says in the name is a 4 hour Mini-Series about the life of Attila the Hun which by the way is a very interesting story. Attila came very very very close to taking over Rome, and if he had the world would be a very different place today. The series also goes into pretty good detail about the battle between Attila and his Brother. This segment of the video was probably the best.

Perhaps in history Attila is one of the most interesting stories. Perhaps on USA Network Attila is little more then an entertaning 4 hours.

Going Overboard (1989)

Just not very funny

Dont get me wrong im a pretty big Adam Sandler fan its just that this movie was not funny to me. I mean sure maybe some parts of it were a bit(Grant it a small bit)Funny the movie its-self was not. I rented this movie not really thinking it would be very funny because it came out to my video store about 6 years after the movie its self was made. I would not advice anyone to rent this movie, or even watch it.

i have watched alot more movies that are a lot stupider than this one. Its just that i would not take the time to watch it again.

Cleopatra (1963)

Hot Egyptians, Stupid Romans.

IF you ask me the best part of Cleoptra was the performance by Roddy McDowall as Octavian (Caesor Augustus). He played that part so well, however there was one thing wrong with that, and that was they made Augustus out to be something something he was not. Never before have i read that Octavian/Augustus was a cruel man. In fact if you ask me Mark Anthony, and Cleopatra got what was coming to them in this film as well as in history. They were both so stupid, and they both wanted too much. Mark Anthony wanted to rule the world and have that sexy Egyptian queen(cleopatra). Cleopatra wanted everything. She wanted Rome, she wanted Egypt, she wanted the rest of the world and yes she wanted that punk Mark Anthony. Another thing i did not like about this film is that it made Octavian looks like he was a panzy. I have never besides in this film heard that the great Ceasar Augustus was a panzy.

Roddy McDowall truly did have a great part in this movie but it was far from the leading part. Liz Tayler plays the title character Cleopatra, and does such a good job in this role that she wins an Oscar. I THINK? Well im pretty sure she won an Oscar for this role and if she didnt than she should have. Rex Harrison plays the legendary Julius Ceasar and he himself does a wonderful job in that role. Mark Anthony who shows up in this movie maybe even more then Cleopatra is played by Richard Burton, and again i'm thinking maybe he won an oscar for this movie, but than again i dont know, and again if he did not win an oscar then he should have.

Talk Radio (1988)

Talk Talk Talk the whole movie, Yet somehow its good.

Oliver Stone= Americas #1 bold film maker. The thing that is differnt about him and other Directors who try and stand out by being bold is that he is not trying to stand out. These are his films and he makes them the way he wants to. He does not try and be strange he is a MASTER MIND and in my view the greatest film Master mind of all time. Talk Radio= A movie with only a few actors and Eric Bogosian does most all the acting himself. I dont how this guy does it. I dont even think i could stand seeing Pacino talk for that long at a time. Yet Bogoisian talks and talks for almost 2 hours and yet its still a great movie and i'm not thinking the hole time god would this guy shut up. No because there is something about this actor that makes him able to talk and talk for the whole time and still stay interesting. NOt only that but the Screen Play is very interesting(Screen Play also written bye Eric Bogosian)

And Justice for All (1979)

...And Pacino proves my point

In this movie Al Pacino once again proves my point that he (Al Pacino) is one of the greatest actors off all time. By 1979 he had already pretty much proven this but never the less this is one of his best films yet. Even without Al Pacino this movie would be great.(Not near as great but never the less)I mean it is also very well directed and the screen play alone is magnificently written. So if you are a Pacino fan, or even if your not a Pacino fan i am telling you, that to die without seeing this movie is a sin.

Starstruck (1998)

Starf*cker , what i thought it was called Starstruck. Oh well it was an ok film i guess but on the other hand it wasnt. Loren Dean has what it takes to became a great headlining actor. His role in this film however is not going to be the one to get him there. This film was somewhat funny but other then that there wasnt much to it. I would not recommend this film to anyone unless they like stupid, very stupid humour.

Bottle Rocket (1996)

The Wilson Brothers will make you laugh

Owen and Luke Wilson take the screen for about 2 hours with a sort of different kinda humour. I cant really describe the humour in this movie but for some reason it makes me laugh. The film also features James Caan, who has a short role as Mr. Henry. Anyway the film takes place after Anthony(Luke) is let out of a mental hospital. He and his friend(Owen)then basically go around and do nothing productive, untill the end.

I still cant understand why i like this movie so much but for some reason i loved it. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes movies that dont require hollywood rules.

Subspecies (1991 Video)

Vampires= Interesting Characters

Radu kills his father and stills from him The Blood Stone(The Blood Stone is surpost to give the vampire who holds it ultimate power). His brother Stefan hears of this and shows up into town to battle the evil Radu. 3 other girls come to town and somehow get mixed up in all of this. The movie is filled with Vampire conflict all the way to the end

On a side note this is one of the best Vampire movies i have ever seen. It was pretty low buget, but somehow it had a good cast and pretty good effects. Not to mention the makeup on Radu is some of the best i have ever seen. It ranks right up there with American Werewolf in Paris. Although it was low budget this movie sparked 4 sequals.
