Mixed feelings, but at least got closure
7 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Loved this weird series from the beginning and so glad Netflix picked it up to finish it, felt a little too like Lost there towards the end (the judgemental "smoke" for Lost fans lol), and I have many unanswered questions, but it ended on a good note so it's ok. I was disappointed to see Mick and Zeke together at the end, didn't make sense, but I guess her and Jared's character are together in real life? Lots of love triangles, also, the captain coming back with the plagues? Where's the explanation and where's the doctor he left with? Again, many questions unanswered, and felt very much like Lost, but definitely a great ending to a great series.

Meh, missing the magic
27 December 2022
Not sure what happened, but there's chemistry and magic that the first two movies had that this series is missing. There's chemistry missing between the actors, the writing is a mix of being woke and trying to be funny and dramatic and it just doesn't work. The first couple episodes on the island were decent, then it just went downhill. Still love the characters, but they just didn't seem to want to be there in this series, something was way off. Disappointed, I'll stick to the two movies and their magic. Proof yet again that reboots in this new generation just don't work, magic is rarely re-created.

Impressed so far, missing something though
7 September 2022
Huge LOTR fan, love Tolkien and I enjoyed Peter's trilogy. This series isn't too bad despite all the people acting like they knew Tolkien personally and decide to attack it. Mixed feelings on the elves, they don't seem as "superior" as I expected, and the character development across the board seems messy. I refuse to engage in the arguments about there being black actors playing certain parts, who cares? It's Hollywood, it's pretend, use your imagination, there's bigger fish to fry in the world. Hoping for more character development, I would also love to see more backstory to the very beginning of time, I'm a nerd like that I guess, but so far it hasn't been bad at all, just harder to follow than I'd hoped. Looking forward to more episodes, the CGI is beautifully done so far!

What happened to TP?
27 February 2022
I loved Madea when Tyler Perry first started with his plays, then the movies were good. The more famous he's gotten, the worse his material has gotten. Corny writing, bad acting, too much "woke" (seriously, enough already), and I heard more cussing and F bombs in this one movie than all other Madea movies combined. Didn't even finish it. I'll stick to the old Madea material like the plays before Perry got too big, too woke, and too vulgar to be enjoyed. Hollywood's a mess.

Great show, some characters are poorly cast
2 March 2020
Love this show, it's got a little bit of everything, drama, comedy, romance, etc. Jamal and Jasmine are hilarious, Ruby is great in his role too, Abuilita is amazing. The actor playing Spooky is nice to look at for the "non-teen crowd" LOL, but is also a good actor. The actors playing Cesar and Monse are just cringey though, not sure if they're just that bad or if the directing is bad on their behalf. I find myself skipping through scenes with just those two, the girl reminds me of Kristen Stewart-monotone and no emotion. The guy probably has potential, but needs better guidance. Otherwise, really well done show, even if people think it's a rip off of another show. Can't wait for more seasons!

That '70s Show: That '70s Finale (2006)
Season 8, Episode 22

One of my favorite series finales
23 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Not a lot of sitcoms to watch anymore, most are cheesy with terrible acting and even worse writing, but love that we can go back and watch great ones like this show. I was born in '86 and this will always be one of my favorite shows, even if I missed a few references from that decade.

Loved this ending, it closed all the chapters with everyone (although the Fez and Jackie love angle still makes me scratch my head lol), brought back Kelso and Eric even for a brief moment, and made homage to classic moments throughout the series.

Donna's acting will always amaze me, and I always felt Kitty was a hugely underrated character, she was hilarious. Was never a huge fan of Laurie's character, and Randy was just cringey.

This show has made me laugh out loud more than enough times, spectacular writing and comedic timing. I wish there were more shows like it, but the writers, producers, and directors of the 90s are few and far between now, so these gems of a show will go down as classics in my book. Sad it ended, but 10 stars for giving the audience the ending it deserved.

Laughed out loud
10 September 2019
Watching the series again for about the 10th time, it lost a lot of its magic when Michael left, we all know that, but there's a few gems in the last few seasons and this was definitely one. Havent been a huge fan of Andy's storyline since he took over as manager, I actually find myself skipping though his scenes. But this episode with Dwight's prank and Kevin having Oscar's secret had me in tears. Reminded me why I became such a huge fan of the show to begin with, brought back some of the magic it was missing. Definitely a favorite even without Michael Scott.

Who keeps coming up with material?
31 August 2019
The best part of this whole mess was the leading actor, found myself skipping ahead to scenes he was in, my 5 stars are for him and him alone. Christina Milian is a terrible actress, good grief. A few other smaller characters weren't bad, but it was just painful to watch her try to keep the audience interested. Hopefully the leading guy gets more options, cause he was the only thing worth watching during this mess of a movie. Do better Netflix.

Finally! Someone who isn't afraid of the PC culture vultures but still hilarious
31 August 2019
Always been a fan of Dave, the dude is a legend. He didn't sugarcoat anything in this special, he was brutally honest and hilarious at the same time. Dude called a spade a spade and didnt care who got offended because he knows EVERYONE gets offended by literally breathing these days. He said what everyone else is too afraid to say and did it in a way that makes you laugh. Bravo man, I hope he does more like this, sick of this PC world

Masterpiece, the new one doesnt compare
21 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Watched the new one, and I think I had a disgusted look on my face the entire time. The music, the visuals, the dialogue, the voice acting, etc. Rewatched this one and remembered why this was my favorite Disney movie growing up. From mufasa's death to the goofy hyenas, to the bond between rafiki, simba and mufasa. The music that everyone knows every word to, and scar's ability to deliver each line perfectly. This movie is magic, the new one seems to tech focused and forgot what made lion king so beloved to begin with, its unfortunate. Hoping the circle of life makes it way around and the end of remakes draws close (see what I did there lol). Until then, lion king from the 90s will stay on my shelf and my kids will watch with me. This new one will never end up in my cart and I wont confuse my kids by watching it either. Thank you 90s Disney for the magic!

Overrated and way too much spotlight on beyonce
21 July 2019
Lion King was the only movie growing up that actually made me cry, the soundtrack alone was amazing, but there was a magic in the cartoon version. This new one is awful. They spent tons of money on the tech and actors, but forgot to add the magic. This isn't the Lion Queen, it's not about beyonce, but it's become all about her, when she didnt actually bring anything to the movie. James Earl Jones will never get a bad review in my book, he did his job. Everyone else was simply forgettable. The cartoon version I remember each actor, each song, each joke, etc and I havent watched it in years. My guess is that Disney is making all these worthless remakes to maintain the copyrights of those movies, but there's 0 intention to do it with the same magic and formula that captivated people from the beginning. The only remake I've enjoyed so far is Cinderella, we even bought it. The rest I don't even remember and my kids prefer the cartoon versions over the remakes now too, that should say something. Not that anyone at Disney will care, their goal is to take over everything to continue being in control and taking in heaps of money for their own exploits. I'll stick with the original Lion King, including the soundtrack and the Broadway show (also amazing), and never speak of this waste of money of a film again.

Finally something original with a bit of everything!
16 July 2019
Was hooked from the pilot. I've seen a lot of references to Grace and Frankie, I personally couldn't get into that show, but loved this one. It's original with a dark and dry sense of humor, but emotional and thrilling. Each episode makes you wanting to see what happens next, and each character is developed beautifully. Nice to see something original that isn't overly sexual or gory, but keeps you at the end of your seat. Nicely done writers, and these ladies are perfect int heir roles. Can't wait for the next season!

Aniston and Sandler are great together!
18 June 2019
I know people and critics tend to hate on Sandler for one reason or another, I tend to think Sandler is like Nickelback-people hate him because its 'cool' but most would actually sit and watch and laugh along to one of his classics. I like Sandler's movies, and I liked this one. It's a good story line, keeps it interesting, little bit of everything in it without going overboard. I would have loved a few more Sandler jokes, but it's a good movie that I'd watch again. People that criticize it are probably the ones who cheer on producers who do nothing but remakes and sequels, not a creative cell in their body. Also, I cant review this movie on rotten tomatoes, but if give the same review there too. Well done Sandler team.
