The Ghost Hunter (2000)
Good traditional fun for the kids
It's a kids show yeah, but a good one at that and one my 6 year old neices' got me watching. Familiar faces and good fun. not up for a bafta, but that's not why it's there. The kids will love it... and so will the students (I hide in shame).
Upstairs, Downstairs (1971)
UP/DOWN
First shown ten years before I was born, Upstairs Downstairs is one of those rare opportunities to see character and story take on a life of it's own. Its style and tone is not that of a t.v. drama (not by today's standards, anyway) but more a theatrical play. Granted there were one or two shows that were not up to scratch such as "The Swedish Tiger" (Cringe on my mark). Compare one or two to 60 or so great shows (including more than a handful that completely blow you away). It is quite simply the best show I've seen. Wannabe writers & actors; take a look. Rarely in television and film have we seen such honesty and humanity in writing and performance. A prime example why British is best.
