School of Rock (2003)
an awesome movie
This is one of them movies you can watch again and it's just as good. It's funny and has a good plot. I'v seen it more then once and I'v always found it to be a favorite. It's about Dewey Finn and he's kicked out of his band. He lives with Ned Schneebly a substitute teacher and his girl friend and Ned's girl friend wants him to pay rent so when the phone rings from a prep school wanting Ned to Sub Dewey pretends to be Ned. Dewey instead of teaching the kids the regular school subjects turns the class into a band so they can compete at battle of the bands. Jack Black stars at Dewey and he's funny throughout the whole movie. Dewey arranges a field trip for the kids to compete at battle of the bands but the principal says that field trips aren't to be arranged by subs but then him and the principal go out for a drink together and he gets her to say yes to the field trip while she is drunk. On parents night Ned's girl friend finds out what Dewey is doing and she calls the police. They do go to battle of the bands still tho cuz the kids come to Dewey's place and get him up and they go and after the kids parents and the principal see how good there band is Dewey gets a job for an after school activity as the school of rock.
Grace Stirs Up Success (2015)
Grace is like a teenager at 9
Grace stirs up success was a good movie and the type you can watch again. The only complain is that Grace is supposed to be 9 and she bakes like an adult and looks like a teenager more then 9. Another thing is if there family is wealthy enough to go to Paris how come Grace's parents don't buy Grace's grandparents a new oven. They don't seem poor not to go to Paris and have that rich house. In all the movie was good and it would be most interesting for girls
Big Miracle (2012)
Good for science class at school, dull for home viewing
I watched Big Miracle thinking it might be good cuz it had Drew Barrymore in. Well the movie was like something you'd watch in science class, maybe biology class, anyhow something you'd see in school. The plot was dull and did not keep me interested and I felt like I was sitting in science class and them type of movies we watch in science class never kept my interest either. Maybe educational and probably a good movie if you love a science movie you'd watch in school but dull for home. I think this would be a good movie for teacher's to show while kids learn about whales.
An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong (2009)
Best girl of the year movie
Of all the American girl of the year movies Chrissa is my favorite. Chrissa is played by Sammi Hanratty who does a great job as Chrissa. Chrissa and her family move to Mn and Chrissa has to deal with bullies. Tara is the meanest of the girls and they do things that are mean to Chrissa and a girl named Gwen. Chrissa is picked on by these girls everyday and her brother gets into an accident which is Tara's fault at swim team and Chrissa quits the team cuz of Tara. This is a great movie I have seen it many times it's the type of movie you can see again and again.
UglyDolls (2019)
A colorful movie
Ugly dolls is a colorful movie about little dolls that are not perfect enough to have kids. Moxy is a cheerful pink toy who each day really wants to have a kid of her own. Ugly dolls live in a colorful little town called ugly ville but the town really ain't ugly it's colorful. Moxy sets out and leaves ugly ville and gets into a town called perfection where each doll has to be perfect. They meet Lou there a guy who only likes perfect and hates imperfection. This movie has a lot of music in it and it's good for all ages but kids esp cuz of the colorful little dolls but anyone who found it there style might also like it cuz some of the voices are singers like Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas.
The Lion King (2019)
A realistic version of the Lion King
This is a good movie a very realistic form of the original. This movie could be enjoyed by all ages as much as small kids to the elderly. This movie even has things you can learn from it like what different wild animals eat. In the lion king Scar takes over to be king after he kills Mufassa who is Scar's brother. Scar takes over and is an awful king compared to Mufassa. Simba thinks he killed his dad so leaves and finds 2 other friends in his new life.
Come Away Home (2005)
A true delight!
I'v seen this movie many times and always enjoy it each time I'v seen it. It has a great cast of Jordan-Claire Green, Lea Thompson, Paul Dooley, Martin Mull, Gregg Russell and many others. In this movie Annie has to spend the summer with her grandpa and she is not happy about since she has her summer planned out of hip hop concerts, internet, parties and friends. Annie stays with her grandpa Donald who hasn't cleaned his house in a while and eats TV dinners. Annie takes his boat out and falls out and after that decides to give grandpa a chance. Annie learns to play chess and drives grandpa's car. Grandpa has to then go to a retirement home and Annie finds the flyer in her mom's purse and Annie now loves grandpa and don't want him to go there so the next day her and her friend Ashley, Gregg and Sonya arrange for Donald and Barney to get facials and they clean up his house. Annie's mom Carol is mad about it at 1st but after a talk with her dad the whole thing made them closer. In the movie Gregg is sad cuz he lost his wife and daughter but Annie makes him feel better and even restores him into singing at the music fest again after all these years. A true delightful movie that I think teens would enjoy the most and understand the most.
Freaky Friday (2003)
early 2000's delight!
I really enjoyed this movie it had Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in and it had funny moments in. Anna and Tess are mother and daughter and are 2 totally different people. Tess is a doctor, she wrote a book and her daughter plays in a band and get's lots of detentions in school. While arguing at a Chinese restaurant there minds are switched and now Tess is acting like the 15 year old and Anna is the woman. When Tess goes on TV to talk about her new book she knows nothing about it cuz she has Anna's mind and she even falls in love with Anna's boy friend. The thing is that Tess is planned to get married and she is acting like a 15 year old and loves her music cranked and puts up her feet in the car. There is one thing the mind switch did is it made Tess and Anna grow closer and Anna learned what even her little brother who she hated really thought about her. Funny movie!
Waitress (2007)
pie baking story
This movie is about a woman named Jenna who is married to a husband she hates and is pregnant. The movie was a little slow at times but not the slowest movie I'v ever seen. I'd say that teens or kids would grow bored with this movie but adults of the right style would probably like it. Andy Griffith is in it as old man Joe and Kerri Russell stars as the lead star of Jenna a woman who bakes pies and works at a small diner. The movie had an old time feeling to it like it was set back in time I'm not sure if it was or not it just felt like it was. Jenna's husband Earl is awful as watching it I really disliked his character esp when he hit Jenna in the car. The acting in the movie was good the lead actress showed strong emotion and gave a very realistic seeming feeling when she gave birth to her baby girl. Jenna has 2 friends at the diner named Becky and Dawn they really have an old time feeling to them esp Becky like a woman from the late 60's kinda.
13 Going on 30 (2004)
Jennifer Garner was wonderful
13 going on 30 is a great movie with a great cast. Jenna Rink is 13 and wants to be 30 and popular but she's 13 and not popular. They did a wonderful job on finding an actress to play Jenna Rink at age 13 that actually looked like Jennifer Garner did at that age. This movie has a really good story line and parts of it are funny too. It's Jenna's 13th birthday party and she has to go in the closet and while she's in there she wishes she was 30. Her friend Mattie had made her a doll house and gave her some wishing dust but it was real wishing dust cuz with it she becomes 30 but learns a lot from being a popular 30 year old not even remembering what happened in high school or in her 20's and Jenna learns that she really wasn't that nice of a person she now at 30 no longer communicated with her family and rejected her best friend from age 13. This is a great movie for teens and adults to enjoy more then kids I think.
The Christmas Pageant (2011)
A festive delight!
This was a great movie starring Melissa Gilbert as Vera Parks a high class city woman who is used to directing high class plays. Vera loses her job again and her ex boyfriend Jack some how brings her to his little town to direct the local Christmas come to find out he is the one paying her. In this movie Vera some how has something with her cuz everyone of the people in the small town Christmas play love her. Even Beverly who is skeptical at 1st and thinks she'll ruin the plays soon loves Vera too. Vera then gets a job offer for a high class play and decides to leave the small town. But Vera has met so many friends in this small town and has even rekindled an old romance with Jack and has grown a close bond to Jack's little girl Kristen. While Vera is directing the new play the town members come to her and Vera comes back. Vera brought out the best in everyone and even a shy woman with stage fright that has a wonderful singing voice she shows can sing in front of a crowd and face her fears. This is a feel good Christmas movie and it you want a movie with a good story and a festive holiday delight well this is a good movie to see.
Toy Story 4 (2019)
So good I seen it twice in the theater
I seen this movie twice in the theater. In fact I think this is the best movie of 2019 actually. It's a great movie all ages and it's a feel good movie too. No matter if your a fan of the former Toy Stories or if this is your 1st times seeing a Toy Story it's good either way. Join Woody and the gang as they help little Bonnie adjust to Kindergarten and they meet there new friend Forky a friend which Bonnie makes in school. Forky thinks he's trash since he was made out of trash but he leans he's not trash that he's a toy and at that he is Bonnie's favorite toy right now. Woody goes out on adventures and finds his old friend Bo Peep who now don't have a kid she's out on her own and she thinks she's free. Woody gets involved in an antique story and runs into an old doll who wants Woody's voice box so she can have a kid like Harmony a little girl who is the grand daughter to the owner of the antique store. Buzz light year even gets hung up at the carnival as a prize and meets to fuzzy bunnies hanging there also. Lots happens in this fun packed feel good movie and even a little love happens at the end when Woody sets out on his own to join Bo Peep.
The Stray (2017)
A lot of sadness in one movie
For starters this is not a feel good movie so if you feel gloomy and want to see something happy this is probably not a good choice but if your the type who like gloomy movies well then maybe it is for you. Well it started out kinda slow at 1st and I was wondering what else could really happen in it cuz I wasn't really getting into it. Then the main plot came and that part the dog was killed by lightning. The story is about the Davis family and Mitch Davis the father is a busy man to busy for his 3 kids a son and 2 toddler daughters and his wife. Then the stray dog comes into the life of the son Christian and the dog him become friends. They then move out of California and to Colorado cuz Mrs. Davis thinks that Mitch should more focus on his dream in becoming a real script writer and after moving him and his son have a cold relation ship. Mitch tries to now be nice to Christian but after years of neglect from his father he now won't except him. Mitch organizes a camping trip with 2 other boys and thinks this could make the bond between him and his son closer but on the trip a storm comes and kills the stray dog and Mitch is struck so hard the boys think he was killed too. The boys were struck by lightning to but it didn't really faze them cuz they were knocked out and just came back perfect in a moment or so. Christian tells his dad he is sorry and he comes back to life or something I didn't totally get that part and it seems to be shows to long I think in the dark tent and then they carry the dead dog through the woods and now Mitch is well enough he can walk through the woods hauling a large dog on his back. The movie ends with the dog being buried.
The Perfect Man (2005)
Great Hilary Duff movie
Jean Hamilton is desperate to find that perfect man but with that her and her family which is her and her 2 daughters Holly and Zoe have to keep moving. They move to Brooklyn NY and Jean gets a job at a bakery decorating cakes Jean loves to decorate cakes. While working a guy named Lenny is attracted to her he is not her style but Jean just wants a man. They don't have the same taste in music or in things to do. While at school Holly finds a new friend named Amy and her uncle seems like the perfect man for Jean he even does cross word puzzles just like her. Holly makes up a perfect man for her mom named Ben which is the name of Amy's uncle but they don't know each other. Holly sends her mom e-mails from Ben pretending to be him he seems so perfect but they don't know each other. Holly figures she's gotta to get the 2 together cuz they have so much in common with each other. Holly even busts into a wedding cuz she didn't want Ben to get married but it wasn't even him getting married but Holly still ruined the wedding. Holly gives Ben a folder full of the fake e-mails from each other and he thinks maybe they are made for each other. In this movie a guy also has the hots for Holly he's a cartoonist guy but Holly isin't really sure of him but in the end they do kinda fall in love cuz in the end they do stay in Brooklyn and there mom learns that really isn't that important to have to have a man as she thought. A great movie esp if your a fan of Hilary Duff like I am.
Flicka (2006)
A good horse movie
Katy McLauglin is a 16 year old girl who loves horses. Katy was away at boarding school and is home for the summer. While out horse back riding in the woods she runs into a wild mustang she calls Flika. Her father who is played by country singer Tim McGraw says the horse is dangerous and not to go near it in the pen where Flicka is put but Katy is a very determined and hard headed girl who thinks there is a lot of good in Flicka and she wants to ride her. Katy's father Rob sells the horse to be in the rodeo to a man and Katy disguises herself as a man and even has a fake mustache put on her face rubbed on by dirt so she looks like a man. Katy rides out of the rodeo grounds on Flicka and into the woods and it starts to storm and Flicka gets hurt and Katy is then bedridden with a fever and Flicka is injured. While Katy is sick her father reads what she had wrote down for her boarding school paper she hadn't done well on while away at school and types it up for her. In the end Flicka is all healed and so is Katy and Katy can now ride Flicka as she hoped she could do. The family grows closer after this. Katy also has a brother in this movie named Howard who wants to go to college instead of continue working on the horse ranch. In the movie he is the one that runs with her in the wild mustang race at the rodeo that helps her put on the fake mustache. It's a good horse movie for anyone to watch.
Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story (2005)
Dream on in Dreamer
Dreamer is a great film with a great cast including Dakota Fanning as Cale Crane, Kurt Russell as Ben Crane, Kris Kristofferson as Pop, Elisabeth Shue as Lily Crane, Luis Guzman as Balon, David Morse as Palmer, Freddy Rodriguez as Monolin and many others too. Dakota Fanning is great in this movie with superb acting. It's about a race horse who is injured and then nursed back to good health and runs in the breeders cub and wins. Cale is a little girl who dreams of the horse winning a big race the horse's name is Sonador and with a few struggles and a lot of effort the once injured horse wins the breeders cup. A great movie for all ages and a great cast and story line set in Kentucky.
Catch and Release (2006)
Good cast
This movie had a great cast esp with Jennifer Garner as Gray and also including Timothy Olyphant as Fritz, Kevin Smith as Sam, Sam Jaeger as Dennis, Juliette Lewis as Maureen, Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Douglas, Joshua Frisen as the little boy Mattie who is Maureen's son in the movie. Gray has lost her fiance and now is feeling down and her friends try to cheer her up and she falls in love with Fritz. Maureen is a woman who went out with Gray's fiance and says that Mattie is there son together well he was paying her every month child support cuz Gray's fiance paid it even tho he knew he wasn't the father. Maureen in this movie kinda falls in love with Sam and gives him a massage. They all go fly fishing together and Maureen cooks them all a meal. It's a good enough movie with a great cast, it's worth watching esp for Jennifer Garner in it.
Christopher Robin (2018)
I really loved this movie
Christopher Robin is a fantastic film both filled with laughs and greatness in all one. Christopher Robin is played by Ewan McGregor and in this movie Christopher Robin is all grown up and has lost his desire in having fun doing nothing cuz as Pooh says doing nothing brings out the best in something. Christopher Robin hasn't seen or visted the hundred acre woods in years not since his boyhood and since then well now he has a high job in the suit case in industry and has a wife Evelyn and a little girl Madeline. Madeline spends her days mostly studying she really hasn't had the chance to really play before. Well in the hundred acre wood Pooh has lost his friends and sets out to find Christoper Robin and goes through the entry way in which Christopher Robin always came from. Pooh is in London and sits down on a bench and that's the bench that Christopher Robin is sitting on. Evelyn and Madeline are on a week-end outing one in which Christopher was to busy working to embark on. He takes Pooh home and then must bring Pooh back to his home in the hundred acre wood. Going through London Pooh wants a red balloon and they ride a train and Pooh plays a game called say everything you see. In the Hundred acre wood Christopher comes back after all these years and sees his old friends Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger, Eeore, Kanga, Roo, Owl the whole gang. Christopher while in the wood helps chase away a heffelump and then he must find his way back home. But his important papers are left in the wood that he needs for work and that causes them to have to bring the papers back to him. Christoper leaves for home and back to work the hundred acre wood is very near to the place Evelyn and Madeline are staying and Madeline and the whole hundred acre wood gang set out together to bring back the important papers to Christopher but with this Christopher learns that like Pooh said doing nothing always brings out the best in something so his new idea for work is to give employees more time off of work cuz in the long run they would sell more suit cases then cuz to use a suit case you are finding the best in doing nothing. Christopher Robin is a very good movie with a great story. I really enjoyed this movie!
Phoebe in Wonderland (2008)
Not to bad of movie
Phoebe in Wonderland stars Elle Fanning as Phoebe Licheten who is a little girl obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. The movie had it's good points and the parts I didn't understand as well. My complaint is that it seemed at times to go from one thing to the next and that part made it harder for me to follow. I do have to say that Elle Fanning did do a good job acting in the movie she showed strong emotions. Her mom tho seemed to be depressed seeming the whole movie. I'd say this movie would be best for teens and adults cuz parts are harder to follow and Phoebe does do some strange things in the movie like jump up and down the stairs and jump on every square perfectly well she OCD but that part of it makes more advanced I think.
Paddington (2014)
Paddington is cute and funny
Paddington comes to London with his aunt Lucy after his home is destroyed by and earth quake. Aunt Lucy is to old to travel on so moves into an old bears home. Paddington is in hopes to find a new home and that is when he meets the Brown family. They take him in reluctant at 1st but grow to love him. Paddington does some funny stuff like cleans his ears with 2 tooth brushes and floods the bathroom and the bathtub sails out of the bathroom down the stairs. Paddinton even catches a crook who drops a wallet. The Brown kids love Paddington esp Johnathan Brown. At 1st Judy Brown don't like him but she does as the movie goes on. Mrs. Mary Brown is the mother to Judy and Johnathan and her husband is Henry Brown and Mrs. Bird lives with them too. Henry Brown thinks that Paddington she be brought to a place where he could find a home something like an orphanage but a little different. Paddington says he could live with the old explorer who had visited his aunt and uncle years and years ago he's the one that gave his uncle the hat Paddington wears today. Turns the explorer's daughter is evil and wants to stuff Paddington and put him in her museum and that's when Paddington learns how much the Brown's really do love him now when they save Paddington from the evil explorer's daughter and in the end the explorer's daughter has to do hours of community service. Paddington found his home and that was with the Brown's. Paddington is a movie that all ages could enjoy cuz young kids would love Paddington as much as adults or teens could.

Whitney becomes close to her grandpa played by Kris Kristopherson and learns to ride horse and helps him out in the horse stables. Then Whitney's dad goes out to find a different job and they talk about that there going to have to move again. Whitney is still deep down set on going to the formal back in Philadelphia. While her parents go out to look for a new house togetehr and dad's new job in a new city, Whitney stays back home with Grandpa. Whitney feels she has to go to that formal so she writes a note to Grandpa and rides the horse to Philadelphia and they run into a few problems like the horse is scared of raccoons and they see one so the horse hurts his leg a little but they are able to make it there anyhow. Whitney jumps on a train and goes to the formal and at the formal the horse who's name is Bob comes in and she wore a dress she sewed at her new school. Whitney's friend had also tried to steal her boy friend while she was away. In the end Whitney and her family stay living in the country next door to Grandpa.
