Vexed (2010)
Bring back this show!!!
A foot in mouth review.
I had never heard of this show, I recently discovered it on Netflix, OMFG it is amazing, this is on another level of funny, Hot Fuzz is the closest thing to it that I know of.
So well written and executed performances! I told a couple of the lads about this show and they have fallen in love with it. I will admit to this because I am a man a manly man, I laughed so hard I cried and peed on the sofa, good thing mine is leather.
Season 1 episode 3 is incredible!
I don't want to say to much because you have to experience it.
Toby Stephens is utterly epic in this program as DI Jack Armstrong and steals the show really he plays an utter git, but he is so likable because he is an ass.
I really would love to see this show come back!

A Foot in Mouth: Brutally Honest Review.
***Contains Spoilers***
When I first discovered this show I genuinely thought, this is a TVS show about an ambulance driver who is a telepath who help the police solve crimes and murders, what were the writers smoking? But I was interested because it sounded so strange, no more odd, no more surreal, no err more orange, sorry.
I was right to like this show because it was fantastic. Toby our protagonist is a very likable character, he is very well portrayed along with his best mate Oz. These two characters are the heart and soul of the series. As the show develops and grows their relationship shines through. The concept of the show is interesting and opens up a world of possibilities. Sadly the show was cancelled after season 5, but I encourage you to see it as it is brilliant with some very interesting story lines and some excellent character growth. I really enjoyed this program and would love it if they brought it back.
The chemistry between the characters and the performances are very well executed along with some beautifully funny moments along with some dark and sinister plots the balance is handled very well.
Leverage (2008)
Give Me More Leverage
A Foot in Mouth: Brutally Honest Review.
***Contains Spoilers*** Leverage in my mind is an example of how to make an extremely entertaining, engaging and very fun TV shows with some outstanding casting, very well written characters and some of the quirkiest story lines is a beautifully executed ice cream cone of perfection. Yummy! I was really upset when they cancelled this show after season 5, but I really think they should bring it back! The premise of the show is essentially a group of the 4 best highly skilled criminal operatives in the world ranging from a hacker, grafter, cat burglar and a hitter are brought together under the supervision of an ex-insurance investigator to pull a heist that goes slightly wrong, so then they start to help average everyday people get leverage over large corporations, millionaires, the authorities and pretty much anyone who tries to screw over us honest hardworking everyday people.
One of the most important things for me is not only the portrayal of the characters on screen but the chemistry of the characters, if I am invested in the characters and their mates I don't care what the story is I will watch it, examples: Castle, NCIS, NCIS: LA, NCIS: New Orleans, Person of Interest, CSI, Elementary, Death in Paradise The thing that shines throughout these TV shows is not only a phenomenal cast and the writing, but the relationships between the characters.
Leverage has an amazing cast who play some very lovable characters with their physical, emotional and verbal banter with the backing of their dramatic, flawed and charismatic performances, with a teaspoon of deliciously funny and a dollop of whipped quirkiness and not forgetting a chocolate flake this show has everything you want. Except the flake that's mine!
CSI: Cyber (2015)
C.S.I (Couldn't-be-assed .So-did .It-anyway) – Cyber
A Foot in Mouth: Brutally Honest Review.
CSI is a TV phenomenon a cultural sociological icon that spans over a decade and a half of intelligent immersive crime drama perfection. It has spawned two sister shows that ran for over 9 seasons and is a worldwide brand that includes books and computer games.
So, if I was to tell you there was a new TV show that was coming and it was called CSI-Cyber and it was based around the world of technology and the internet you would be intrigued and excited, well I would hope you would be because I certainly was.
And what was presented to me in the first episode of the brand spanking new series was the biggest pile of ...
I'm not entirely sure how long this was in development for but it feels like it was for maybe 10 hours after a massively massive larger and tequila bender with some body shots going on in the corner and when they finally awoke from their comatose state and realised they hadn't handed in their homework they thought, errrr shall we say the dog ate it, no OK well let's just throw a load of generic and cliché characters together and say we spend a couple of months horning, err whorening, err, we worked really really hard on this!? To be honest I would have happily looked past the character choices if they had been portrayed well... but that wasn't even accomplished.
Right, the show is about an ex therapist now FBI agent, who runs her Cyber police team of specialists consisting of an ex-marine, two computer nerds, a convicted hacker and a partridge in a pear tree.
The casting of some what I thought were some seasoned actors is terrible, and their acting which is equally terrible, cringeable and wooden at one point I thought I was looking at a forest, the editing was so bad and jarring there should be a warning, certainly gave me a head ache and the sound and music which was utterly pointless. Oh and to top it all off of course they had to used The Who. Which isn't the issue it's the fact they put it in this load of...
The one of the most important things that attracts an audience to a quality TV show is its cast and the chemistry they portray on screen whether they are mates or not, the actor has to believe in the character they are playing that's why all the other CSI's worked so well.
Unfortunately this show is screwed at the very first hurdle, the characters are not only badly portrayed they are just so unlikeable and are very forgettable.
