V Efekat (2024)
must-watch
The performances are robust, with the cast delivering authentic and emotionally resonant portrayals of their characters. The writing is sharp, capturing the nuances of the socio-political landscape with a blend of realism and dramatic flair. The direction and production values are high, ensuring that the series is visually engaging while maintaining a gritty, realistic atmosphere. "V Efekat" stands out not only for its narrative and thematic depth but also for its commitment to sparking conversation about critical societal issues. It is a series that challenges its audience to reflect on the realities depicted, making it a significant addition to contemporary Serbian television. Overall, "V Efekat" is a must-watch.
Kalkanski krugovi (2021)
Too many similarities create boredom
Don't understand how it's possible that so many things overlap in Serbian production, as if they're all written by the same people or copied. We have the series Bunar, and in Kalkanski - we also have a well that people fall into, maybe even the same well. As a viewer, it looks the same to me. In Dug Moru, last season we saw a love story between a philosophy professor and a student, and in the series Bunar, we have the same thing, even filmed at the Faculty of Philosophy. In Kalkanski, we also have dead people like in Dug moru, and Nemilo mesto which is called Zabran in Kalkanski. Tonight, in Kalkanski, we have a necklace that will probably provide many answers, just like necklaces in Dug moru. What's going on here? I love domestic films, I love our actors, but these days, while binge-watching various programs, I have questions that I don't understand. The best thing about Kalkanski is the young actress Ivana who plays Miona. She's so charismatic that I can't take my eyes off of her, but I'm no longer interested in the plot etc.
Mocvara (2020)
held my attention
Out of all the domestic TV series from last year, the one that left the biggest impression on me was Mocvara. It's not a series that deserves a 10 or a 9 raiting, like most of the domestic series. Each one has its flaws. But the spirit of Milena Markovic is felt throughout the entire season. That's why I give it an 8, and because of a few exceptional actors, including Goran Bogdan who needs to work on his language skills. But it's well-directed and well-conceived. I don't mind that it resembles numerous crime series. It has some authenticity and it held my attention, even in the weaker episodes.
Succession (2018)
I absolutely adore them!
I absolutely adore them. I'm currently watching the last episodes and I can't resist sharing my thoughts here. They're irresistible. I don't like profanity in TV shows, but this is the only series where it doesn't bother me. Also, the music that's dominant throughout all seasons has never bored me. Everything that I don't like, I like in this series. For example, there's an incredible amount of dialogue, but I love the different stories where not everything has to be said, where every word and thought doesn't have to be spoken. However, it doesn't bother me here because the dialogues are exceptional. I still don't know which character I love the most and which one irritates me the most. Brilliant!
The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Extraordinary adventure !
This movie is fascinating in every sense. So sorry that I didn't see it in the cinema. The screenplay, directing, set design, all the actors, costumes, make up, special and other effects, color, sound design... I have no words to describe how good it is. I recommend watching it, preferably on the big screen. I enjoyed every part, every scene, every shot. Sincere congratulations and recommendations to everyone to watch it. I won't write any more sentences so as not to spoil the unique experience that this movie offers for anyone. Embark on this extraordinary adventure and don't believe the bad reviews.
Tajkun (2020)
Forceful and unconvincing
To me, this show is so forceful ... and unconvincing. Bjelogrlic needs to take a little break from the screens.
Vratice se rode (2007)
Goran Gajic - the best!
I watched "The Debt of the Sea" and remembered this legendary series. Bravo for everything you did. You are still the best director, Goran.
Dug moru (2019)
indescribable experience!
Directing, acting, camera ... an indescribable experience. I finished the last episode of the first season two hours ago, and I still can't believe I saw such a spell. Dragan Micanovic and Nada Sargin, Sergej Trifunovic and Bojana Maljevic, Leon Lucev and all the actors of the middle and older generation are absolutely fantastic. The younger actors are great too, but these people have shown that they are invincible, with such a great director. Walking backwards ... those scenes made such a strong impression on me that I am walking backwards around the house... :) Music! Oh God! Watch and listen!
Edit: I've watched all the episodes until the end of the third season. I still love this show and all these people... but I'm sorry that Goran Gajic directed only the first season."
Besa (2018)
Great!
I finished my first season yesterday. Great series. Still, I have to notice that the first half of the series is better. In the second half the actors seemed to get tired.
Edit:The second season is also very good, but I liked it less than the first. The actors are still great, the locations too. However, there was a lack of excitement that I had while watching the first season.
Senke nad Balkanom (2017)
second season
Very good, but already seen. I think these authors can do much better.
