The ending was absolutely perfect and even though it might have been expected from a lot of people, it still felt unexpected to me. Starting from the lovely performance by Kousei, to the love letter from Kaori and Tsubaki's kick everything about this episode screams perfection. The show itself wasn't the most entertaining that you'll see but the ending will touch you, that's for sure.

Very disappointing ending, the write clearly must have been very desperate to make Near win because he was j u s t s o o v e r h y p e d I mean this kid just played with toys and he outsmarted Light? Doesn't make sense in my book. L deserved to win over Near any day.. hell even Mello was a decent character..
