The Flash: Armageddon, Part 2 (2021)
Another Great Episode? 😧
Really? The CW gave us 2 good episodes back-to-back? I'll enjoy it as long as I can i guess. Now onto the review-
I really enjoyed this episode, it gave me OG Flash vibes with the Camera work and OG angles when Barry was running throughout the city, and I have to say I love how they're making him more of a leader and prominent character this season. My biggest pet peeves of season 7 was that they focused on all characters besides Barry, and I despise seasons of shows where they do that (flash season 7, supergirl season 6).
The Despero storyline was so climatic, intriguing, and overall entertaining as hell. We got to see Barry's take on "going insane" in his own perspective, as he sees meaningful stuff in his life get taken away like Star Labs, Gideon, AND JOE?! I have to say, I wasn't cause they'd ever kill him off since he's basically a staple of this show... but they actually did and I loved Barry & Cecile's reactions. The only person's reaction I didn't like was Iris, who was unfazed when Barry brought up her dead father... I know it's been 6 months but still, it doesn't make sense how she can remain so calm about the death of the only parent who raised her for and loved her for over 20+ years. Another issue was that the episode had weird camera angles when it was a group shot (excluding Barry running), as it moved so much and seemed like a documentary rather than a tv show. Despero is threatening and ominous, however I think that Thawne will be behind Barry "going insane" and he's manipulating both Despero and Barry for his own agenda. If that's the case then this season will be one of the most throughout/planned season in a while. Iris, Chester, and Allegra were given a few minutes instead of the whole episode, and it worked fine as they weren't intruding the story. All in all, this was a pretty amazing episode that I enjoyed a lot. Of course I had a few "iffs" about it and don't like some aspects, but the good overrides the bad by a lot. I hope Joe is still alive and that it's just Despero tricking Barry's mind...I think a 9/10 is a perfect rating for this episode, I can't wait for the other episodes of Armageddon.
The Flash: Armageddon, Part 1 (2021)
Solid Start For Armageddon!
Going into this episode, I was surprised mainly because I had low expectations due to the horrid Season 7... but Season 8 has risen my expectations a bit! This episode was fairly well done, even if they played it safe with the "inevitable destiny that Barry will have to face in the future" like they did in Season 6 to set up crisis. I really liked how they showcased Caitlin & Barry's friendship at the beginning, since from the OG beginning - mid season 1 it was Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, and Wells, and now that Cisco & Wells left, it's just Barry & Caitlin. Ray Palmer was also a nice return, as his departure in legends s5 was unjust for both the character and the actor. The future that Despero showed Barry was neat, and got me hooked. I also appreciated that they respected Barry's powers & abilities to fight/handle "normal" villains of the week like the Royal Flush Gang, and how he didn't need anyone else's help for it. I especially liked this because the main reason why I despise Supergirl season 6 is because they made Kara so weak and disrespected her so much for other characters. Atleast it isn't apparent here in The Flash. Iris & Allegra were fine as they didn't have a lengthy amount of screen time/scenes, and it was mainly focused on Barry.
Time for the negatives:
-Chester was a bit whiny and childish who made me not like him as much as I did previously.
-Cecile & Kristen Kramer are examples of an overwhelming number of series regulars/cast, as they only gave them a few lines to be incorporated into the story.
-Desperos CGI form was awkward...
-This may be a "nit-pick" but the plot dragged out "slowly" (which is understandable since it is the first part)
Overall, I was originally expecting this episode to be much worse, however, it's actually quite enjoyable and exceeded most of our expectations. I think this season premier deserves an 8 or 9 out of 10.
Legends of Tomorrow: It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Scientist (2021)
Season 7 Is Starting Off Strong
Wow, after a mediocre season 6, Legends really managed to turn their writing around and make an incredible S7 so far. All the episodes have been incredibly fun and entertaining, and this episode (E5) is no exception. Gwyn Davies marks Matt Ryan's first return this season, and he delivered well, as Gwyn is a good character and I wonder where he'll go. I loved Sara's relationship with Ava, as she jumped in front of the shotgun blast to save her, and became so distraught after she disappeared. I'm really interested in Nate & Zaris relationship as well, as I'm a big fan of them. Gary is such a "comic-relief" and he's so entertaining as well. Spooner & Astra were also amazing, I really like their friendship with each other as well as with Gideon, who I still really like even in her human form.
So far, I've given good reasons for this episode, and you may be wondering why it's not a "10". Well it's mainly due to Bishop being the main villain again, because he made S6 unenjoyable at times. It's a nit-pick but I really dislike him. However, other than him, this episode was phenomenal! I haven't enjoyed a season of legends this much since S2/3!
Supergirl: The Last Gauntlet (2021)
Better Than The Finale...But Not Good At All
Sure this episode is "better than the finale" but that isn't really saying much considering I rated it a 2/10. I really tried to enjoy this episode, I really tried, but I just couldn't. Kara making dumb decisions when she was 1 second away from being super chargers was awful, and not to mention the fact that she was disrespected so much this season! Lillian somehow managing to survive the shot from Nyxly before having her long conversation and dying. Camera Angles giving you headaches. Lex and Nyxlys "fight" somehow turned them into lizards?? If I'm rating episodes this low compared to my previous reviews than that's how you know it's bad. A 4 star is generous because some of the CGI (Mainly Kara's flying) was improved and Alex's and Kelly's distraught over Esme. However, that's where the good stops. Kara's so dumb as when Esme separated the all stone, she could've super sped and received all 3 stones but *NOOO* the writers have no common sense, and instead made her run at normal speed so that Lex & Nyxly could also get parts of it... smh....
Supergirl: Kara (2021)
This Isn't A Series Finale...
Ok.. what the hell was this episode?? Lex and Nyxly got defeated by themselves?? That's not even a proper resolution to the season long story nevertheless the series! Mon-El really came for 3 lines then left? The whole team up shot was for nothing? Where was Andreas storyline/involvement? I'm thoroughly disappointed in this. It's funny how "supercorp" fans didn't even get their ship, and how Kara blatantly and flat out said they were only friends. Williams funeral only lasted about 1 minute while the rest was focused on Alex and Kelly's wedding, which was pretty good but really should've been focused on "Kara" the shows protagonist and the episodes name.
Overall, very disappointing "resolution" to Supergirl. She was so disrespected on her own show. I really hope Melissa could return in future crossovers with The Flash and actually live up to her true potential. The only reason why it isn't a 1 is because I enjoyed some moments, and by "some" I really only mean 2. -Alex & Kelly's wedding where Kara & Winn sang together, and Cat Grant's, Mon-El's, & Overgirl's returns. Other than that, it was "Super-underwhelming".
Supergirl: I Believe in a Thing Called Love (2021)
I Was Pleasantly Surprised
Just from the title alone I assumed that this episode would be horrible, since they provided emphasis on Lex's "love" to Nyxly which I found cringe. However, the fact that I'm rating this episode so high (which I never do) goes to show how good it actually was. The CGI fight scenes were pretty cool for this show especially, and I loved the character arcs.
Starting off with Esme, shes cute kid and I like her role with Alex/Kelly's relationship... especially since now she's the embodiment of the Love Totem!!
I absolutely loved J'onns role here, it was emotional and spectacular witnessing him pass his gauntlet and try to save his daughters. His dialogues with Kara and Alex were great, and it's always nice seeing him use his Martian form.
Lena getting a hold of her magic after removing the negative field of Lex was satisfying and amazing. I really liked her character this season.
Nia and Brainy didn't get too much screen time, but it's cool to see them learning about the "truth" about the legion in the next episode.
Some negatives in this episode were probably just Andrea and William. Andrea is just a stock character at this point, she hasn't had too much of a role until her 5 sec Arcata debut again, which was only to steal a photo... and William is just "there" as usual, with no real purpose.
Lex is back... but now he's a simp for Nyxly lmao. I wouldn't say they "ruined" his character, but now he doesn't seem as threatening. Nyxly was kinda getting repetitive so I see why they brought Lex.
Overall this episode was pretty good, one of the best of the series I'd say, deserving a 9/10 atleast.
Stargirl: Summer School: Chapter Eleven (2021)
Loved This Episode
Stargirl is such an amazing show throughout both seasons, and this episode was also incredible. The shadowlands exploration and the white light that covers the room to go to another setting was such a cool concept. Courtney was really like able in this episode because she wanted to save Cindy despite what she'd done, proving how much of a hero Courtney is. I liked seeing the reaction of Courtney's mom desperate to get her daughter back as well.
I liked how they finally showed doctor mcnider, and how hard his daughters death impacted him. Speaking of death, The Shades sendoff was also done well, as he died doing a heroic act.
The young boy who plays Bruce Gordon is actually so talented. I was shocked on how well he portrayed his character and memorized his lines for someone that young.
Some minor complaints would be lack of Yolanda & Rick, and also how Pat & Mike didn't show too much emotion over Courtney's demise, but the pros of this episode carry it.
Overall, a truly amazing episode deserving of a 9 star and higher. Cant wait for the final 2 episodes!
Supergirl: Nightmare in National City (2021)
So Disappointing From A Show
Wow are the directors/writers out of there mind creating this episode?? It's such an abomination to the totem storyline and probably the worst episode of the entire series. I'm so mad the show is called "Supergirl" not Dreamer and sister. Kara quitting Catco was soo stupid it's been her job for 6+ years and a staple for the series. STOP BRINGING POLITICS!!
I'm just disappointed because The Gauntlet and Magical Thinking were actually great episodes, and then be get something TERRIBLE like this!
The fact that Kara did nothing other than flying should go to show how the show runners are incompetent feminists who want to show Feminsm and Lgbt other than actually good television. The fact I'm rating this episode so low when I loved this series and was lenient on rating other episodes really high should show how despicable this episode was.
Supergirl: Hope for Tomorrow (2021)
Solid Episode With The Best Story Arc In The Show
This episode was pretty good, but out of the 3 totem storyline based episodes, it was the weakest. It still strived from the enhanced CGI this season, but the action/fight scenes were underwhelming due to Esme's story.
Alex and Kelly adopting Esme was an interesting idea however it took up way too much time in my opinion. It's also unfortunate that Dreamer wasn't here.
Martian Manhunter was also pretty good here and they finally used a scene with his Martian face which is always nice to see.
Nyxly losing all of her totems was... weird... considering she was "defeated" and without her magic she's not much of a threat to Kara.
Overall, this episode was nice but the weakest out of the totem quest so far. Final Verdict: 8.5/10.
Supergirl: Magical Thinking (2021)
This Season Continues To Get Better!
Wow I'm very impressed with season 6 so far and how great in quality the last 2 episodes have been. This episode is also fantastic as the CGI quality was also improved drastically from the past seasons, and Kara's flying was showcased truly well!
The highlight was probably the debate with Lena & Kara when they were discussing whether or not to "cross the line" regarding the humanity totem. It was so satisfying at the end when they ended up going through with it as The Flash writers would've never allowed that to happen.
The Nyxly arc was also interesting as always and in this instance we got to see her overflowed with emotion and having to get rid of the totem. Now the results are: Supergirl - 1, Nyxly - 1
I wish we got to see Brainy and less of William, but at least he wasn't too annoying in this episode and was bearable. So glad to see John using his other abilities and Dreamer using her fighting skills.
Overall extremely well put out episode easily deserving 8+. To balance the results I'm giving this episode a 10. "Hope" fully (💀) s6 continues to be outstanding and could very well be the best season of Supergirl beating s3/4.

Supergirl: The Gauntlet (2021)
Kara and Lena are Perfect For Each Other
Ok I LOVED this episode. We got to see supergirl expand and hopefully become more! This episode was action packed and hilarious, I loved the moments with team supergirl and Nyxly. Kara finally wearing human clothes without her glasses was awesome, and the fact that it was with Lena is just amazing! 10/10 best episode of the season by far.
