Father Stu (2022)
Phenomenal Movie!
Just finished the movie on Netflix, and I want to start by saying I am not a religious person at all what so ever but this movie was absolutely incredible. I expect nothing less of 2 incredible actors like Mark Wahlberg and Mel Gibson to put on an incredible performance. The movie brought such an amazing story to life, and I lived every second of the film. It's stories like this is where movies should be putting their focus into. True story's based on strength, motivation, and finding purpose like this film, brought so many emotions to the screen, and I couldn't take my eyes away. 10/10, highly recommend, and would definitely watch again.
Moonfall (2022)
Fantastic
I've always been a fan of sci-fi movies so obviously I had to check this film out, especially considering the great actors that were casted. I was skeptical with this title from the beginning due to the nature of average reviews. It didn't peak my interest watching the film right away, it took some time, especially since the beginning reminded me of another common "Transformers/Space monster" scene. But not long into the film I really started getting hooked. I absolutely loved the direction the movie went in, especially with how differently it played out to other sci-if films with similar events. I hope the ending of the movies means we could we expecting a sequel!
The Imperfects (2022)
Don't waste your time
Wife and I tried watching this show, and couldn't stop dreading it the entire time but her and I were trying to give it a chance. I understand it's a sci-fi show, but in what world are there 21 year old scientists and doctors? Even fantasy/sci-fi t should at least touch in some of the realistic aspects of the world outside of the fantasy aspect. This show seemed desperately put together, the boy that transforms into that awfully designed creature even wakes up with his shirt on and in tack...That alone says a lot for how much thought and effort was put into this. I don't even want to know how much time they spent looking for decent actors and actresses because they couldn't even score that. Don't recommend. Don't waste your time.
Dracula (2020)
Great!
Great show! Loved the storyline and the actors portraying their character roles in the series! I watched it with my wife and she enjoyed it as well, which surprised me because she does not find interest in films such as this genre. As short as the series was, it continuously kept me hooked in, constantly wanting to know how things were going to play out, and eager to see what directions the events would turn towards. It's no surprise that I would rate this 10/10, it's unfortunate to see others with poor reviews for this series. I thought the writing was extremely well done. I really enjoyed this show, and hope one day they decide to renew for an additional season.
The Vampire Diaries (2009)
Phenomenal series
I'll keep this short... Just finished this series on Netflix today, I'm not an individual who gets sad easily, or finds empathy in things, but the final episode of this show made me cry like a newborn baby. Overall, best TV series I've watched by far, incredible script, and incredible actors.
First Kill (2022)
Do not recommend
15 minute into the first episode and I feel like I listened to a whole soundtrack. Too much different background music in such a short amount of time. Nothing original about this show, especially with the relatable narration from similar shows and movies. It strongly comes off as an under budgeted "One Tree Hill" version of Vampire Diaries. You see one teen vampire show, you see em all. Don't waste your time on this content. I gave it a shot because I was intrigued by the trailer but I lost interest shortly in.
Outer Range (2022)
So far so good!
Good show so far!! It definitely hit me with a little bit of Yellowstone vibes with an added sensation of sci-fi/fantasy. A mix that could be hard to swing but this show did a great job at swinging it! Very intrigued and excited to see where this continues to go! Josh Brolin never fails as an actor!
Wolf Like Me (2022)
Amazing!
My wife and I both came across the trailer for this show on YouTube and we decided to give it a shot, and we do not regret it! The cast was phenomenal, and the humor was right on the money! I hope this series continues! Beside Mary's werewolf form looking kinda "budgeted" I'm giving it a 10/10! Great show and highly recommend!
Glitch (2015)
Immediately hooked then immediately let down
I stopped watching after the first episode of season 3. I loved the idea behind this show regarding stem cell regeneration and the concept of a higher power bringing people back to stop it. But the second they had James "accidentally" slip in a bathroom in a restaurant and die and come back, I immediately lost interest in the stupidity. I enjoy watching films/shows made from confident and intellectual individuals, not lazy directors and producers who are only useful for one good idea. I think myself and the future generation would appreciate it if you step aside from the film industry, thank you... I appreciate it :)
I Kill Giants (2017)
No effort
I had to stop this movie half way because I couldn't stand the lack of effort put into this film. The main actress didn't help either. Her performance as an actress made me cringe. Not a fan. Thank god it was free haha
