Level 16 (2018)
Like The Island only less
A less action-packed version of The Island, but not as good. The movie is not too bad, but if you've seen the The Island you know what to expect. Low budget film with not too bad photography, which adds to the overall dystopian vibe.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Nothing but visuals
Watch it only for the visuals, I you've never seen CGI before in your life. Don't expect any story or acting or anything. If you want any of those, watch another movie instead.
Red Island (2018)
My oscillating fan is more interesting than this
It's summer and I have an oscillating fan. Believe me when I say, watching the fan doing its thing was more interesting than watching this movie.
I hate to be one who gives such a bad review, because I'm an indie creator myself (different medium), but as creators we need to put some effort into our creations!
For those of you who wish to watch it regardless, be advised that it uses a lot of handheld cameras, acting is not that great, there will be times when you will struggle to make things out, and the story is not that great.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Please, no more!
As a die hard Star wars fan I have this to say: please stop making any more Star wars movies. In fact you should have stopped after the sixth movie.
This one had characters that failed to make me care, plot that was all over the place, and don't get me started on the tension which was non-existent.
It was so bad it actually made me want to write a review as a warning to other potential viewers.
Mulholland Dr. (2001)
Please stop making movies.
One of the worst movies I have ever watched! Two and a half hours wasted. Somebody should start a lobby or something to prevent Lynch from ever making another movie! I should have never allowed myself to be influenced by people suggesting this movie. My fault...
Superfly (2018)
Wish I had never watched it!
There are bad movies, there are terrible movies, there are movies that make you wish you had no eyes, and then there's this movie. Do yourself a favour and watch a bad movie instead. You'll appreciate it a lot more. I know I do.
Solis (2018)
Not enough pain for the protagonist!
It's a pity nothing else bad happened to the main character. I mean, why wasn't there no impact with a comet? Or an alien spacecraft bent on killing him and him alone? Or a stray missile? Why not? Everything else that could have happened, happened. Might as well have had all the above thrown in. I don't think they pushed the main character to his limits...
Ghost in the Noonday Sun (1974)
Pirate ships, forgotten treasures, stupid cooks, ghosts
I remember watching this film many years ago (i think it was early to mid 80's) and i remember LOVING it! I mean, it is Peter Sellers we are talking about! What more can one say about this comedy genius?? In this film Peter Sellers plays the part of a really stupid cook on board a pirate ship, who later assumes control of the command of the ship and sets off to a really funny treasure hunt. And ghost hunt as well... As i remember it, it was this very way of Seller's acting that made an impression on me. I liked the dialogue between the cook and his crew about the food shortage. Overall, I found it very funny and it's sad that it's not very well known and hard to find in video stores. I gave it a solid nine (9).
Dead Fish (2005)
Contract hit men, a constant mix up, deranged murderers who never say anything constructive
An amazing film! Far better than Lock Stock and two smoking barrels (as far as I'm concerned) and almost as good as snatch (which is why i gave it a 9 instead of 10).
Garry Oldman is great playing the role of the contract hit-man, Carlyle does once again a great job, proving he is a really good actor and Billy Zane's performance left me wondering why hasn't this actor been given more chances in the movie industry. Put Zane's polite and always smiling character alongside with the deranged Yugoslavian hit-man Dragan (Karel Roden) and you have an unbelievable combo.
The only bad thing in the film was Anrew Lee Potts' performance, whose presence goes completely unnoticed.
For me this film is one of the films that i can sit a watch over and over again, particularly the dialogs between Zane's and Roden's characters.
