Through Night and Day (2018)
It was a very touching movie
I thought Paolo and Alessandra's team up was going to be odd. But it did worked. I was drawn by tmhow they portrayed their characters. Not sure why but our, my wife and I, gussed the plot from the start even without reading any reviews or descriptions. Seeing Paolo Contis' other side, from Comedy to Drama. His crying looked so genuine and made me cry too. It is definitely a movie to watch.
One More Chance (2007)
One of the most memorable Filipino movies
Storyline is great!!! You feel that you can relate to the different feelings portrayed in the movie. Wow!!!
First Love (2018)
A bit disappointing
Story is so predictable. Not at all engaging. Trying hard to make you fall for the couple and failed. Rather than anticipating how they fall in love I felt more compelled to think how they died... it just didn't work...
7-beon-bang-ui seon-mul (2013)
One of the best Drama I've seen in my entire life
All I can say is I can't start watching this again because I don't want to cray again... story is one of a kind. Very well executed and the actor has played it flawlessly. And I've see movies from him in action and you just can't believe how good he portrait it. Bravo!!!!
Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2019)
Still made me cry not because of this movie but because of the Korean Version
Yes it still made me and my wife cried but for me its because it reminded me about the screne from the Korean version. There's a big hit and miss on Aga Mulach's acting where there are some english dialogs that doesnt fit with the character. Almost as if he sometimes forgot he's playing a retarded person. Being a fan of the Korean version, I can't stop comparing this movie and making comments how it miss the spot. The additional ending was so confusing that we need to rewind it a couple of times to see if we understood it until we gave up...
Ang pangarap kong holdap (2018)
It's a fun movie
The story was really predictable. I honestly mostly laugh on the old jokes they've reused most specially with 'Boy Bastos'... first Filipino Heist movie I've seen and it's a bit enjoayble. I just wish they have not reused too much old routines done by other comedians. It's like remembering movies from the past instead of making me remember this movie. I'm sure these guys grew up with the same comedians as I did but just felt let down to see them just done by different comedian. I hope to see part 2 of this film but more centred on the Heist...
Jo Koy: In His Elements (2020)
I wanted to see a stand up comedy from Jokoy but end up watching Lonely Planet...
I wanted to see a stand up comedy from Jokoy because there's so many clips about his past shows... but end up watching Lonely Planet... Never seen a stand up comedy where there's dancing and intermission... good thing it's only on Netflix. If this is the same as what they saw on the live show then I feel sorry for those who wasted their money. He must have mistaken that Filipinos doesnt like Variety shows anymore. It should've been titled variety show hosted by Jokoy...
