See How They Run (2022)
i liked it
What amsterdam wanted to be but failed at being.
Good movie, catchy, good story telling and really interesting.
The character introduction is done really well, it has you on your toes of who it might be, the ending twist is really fun, more if you payed attention to the details.
Throughly enjoyable in family so you can discuss your theories along the way.
Lovely done the who done it, got me thinking it was the actor for a second.
I really loved it, saoirse ronan was amazing as always, the play like movie is a great way of taking the story and making it more nice to watch.
Highly recommend!
Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. (2023)
girlhood
It's a really nice take on girlhood, how from one day to another you stop being a little girl are you start your journey into womanhood, how some girls are meaner than others, some boys comment on things they shouldn't, how everything in your life is a big question mark and you want to rush into things all the time. I remember fondly the days my biggest problem was my boobs weren't getting any bigger, it was a really good and emotional watch, would recommend.
Even the religious topic is so well talked in the movie, from the controversy it brought in their family to the inner discussion she has throughout the movie, is so well written and really reminds you of those days when you start questioning how the world works and how it's gonna work for you.
A través de mi ventana (2022)
well....
If i had seen the movie without reading the books, i think i may have been able to enjoy it more (but the big plot holes, and rush scenes and lack of romance but oversex annoyed me)
i get it's an adaptation and things change but they made big BIG plot changes that made it had no sense at all and made the story senseless and incoherent. I wish they would had made the changes better i think i would have been able to enjoy it.
So overall it was a very mediocre movie that ad way way more potential since it was a good book.
Only Murders in the Building (2021)
by far the best!
One of the best tv shows i've ever seen, and i've seen many! It had me at the edge of my sit the entire time, i binged the whole thing in one night of how caught in the plot i was! The acting, the cinematography, the character development, the outfits, everything was amazing!
The Fallout (2021)
brilliant!
Jenna's performance was outstanding! She made the movie so raw with her perfect acting, i loved it! It's such a hard story, i can't imagine what going through something this hard can do to someone, but it was a nice insight and i think the movie showed depression and coping mechanisms in a great way.
Before Sunrise (1995)
i hate him
That's it. I think the story had great potential but his character was horrible, he was a big red flag the entire movie. I liked the poem guy that was in it for two minutes more than i liked him. She is awesome and gorgeous and he sucks.
Ke zai ni xin di de ming zi (2020)
don't know how i feel yet
My favorite scene is when a-han helps birdy shower and they both cry because they understand how difficult it is to be who they are. I think that's the only scene i actually liked. The rest felt too violent, too fast and it wasn't of my liking. I understand the why, i know the context and i seriously get why they were so violent but i still don't like it. The movie has an outstanding message for anyone in the lgbt community, such as me, and anyone else who actually pays attention. It's a strong movie, not easy to watch. It broke my heart knowing they could have been together if only the world wasn't the way it is.
Young Royals (2021)
amazing
By far one of the best shows i've ver seen. The lgbt representation in this show is outstanding, not only is real but also shows queer relationships form a better perspective and presents how hard it can be to actually "come out" to ourselves. Amazing, plus them not looking like the teenagers in other shows is great for teenagers nowadays and also the fact that they showed true skin and not over fixed it makes real people feel better with themselves. I hope netflix is smart enough to confirm a second season and keep this show on air.
