Space Force (2020)
A show that makes fun of both sides
It isn't a biased mess. It makes fun of both the republican and democrat politicians. It brings out every last stereotype of the military and of scientists. It isn't a terribly witty show but it is fun, humorous, and even has some "LoL" moments. I think it is funny and engaging. A good balance between family, military, and ridiculousness. My only complaint would be Steve Carell's attempt at a gruffy voice. It feels very faked.
Indebted (2020)
There won't be a 2nd season
I'm on the 4th episode and I'm wanting it to be good cuz I really like Fran Drescher and I enjoyed 'The Nanny' but the show isn't funny, the jokes are lame, everybody is moronic. Oh, and it's just so terribly kitschy. It's like a ten-year-old and their wannabe Jewish 14 year old sitter tried to write a show and thought it was funny and failed miserably because they're 10 and 14, only know stereotypes of the faith, and are not capable of writing comedy. Its as bad as my analogy. Save your brain cells and find something quality to indulge in.
Mother! (2017)
It had me saying WTF the entire time.
I consider myself an educated lady, but apparently 2 days post Hospital stay/too tired to function does not make a clever girl. I did not catch half the analogies people are babbling on about. All I can say is that was some weird, twisted, dogmatic piece of work.. and I'm probably never going to watch it again. But, it was definitely like nothing I've ever seen before. Kind of like Joker. It was definitely something and the acting was awesome, but I'm never going to watch the damn thing again. It is just too messed up..as is this film, but It's worth a watch. Be ready to be a little deranged by the end of it, but it's worth a watch.
Perfect Harmony (2019)
Slow and steady wins the race
Admittedly the first half of the season is more deserving of four or five stars but these last few episodes have been a lot of fun. The most recent one I would rate an 8 or 9 for the episode in a genre of cheesy good fun. The show isn't trying to be the number one thing on television. It knows that it's not a classic like Friends or Cheers. It is just a show about goofy, Kitschy fun and the dynamics of a small-town community. It can be really wholesome and sweet while also sophomoric and funny. Rarely do I find it inappropriate. I hope you will consider keeping it on.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
The title says it all, it is Marvelous!
My emotions have been all over the place with this show in season 1 and 2. I've gone from hating the husband, to rooting for him, to thinking she's a selfish mother to Thinking she's doing what is right for her. I love the parents, the emotion, the drama, and I honestly feel like these are people and not just TV characters. It's such a fresh and interesting show. I love the experience of these typical Jewish Families of the time as you don't get much of that on TV it seems. It is so well done and I just love every aspect of the set, costume, design, the script, and the actors. Best show I've seen in a very long time!
Christina on the Coast (2019)
A fresh new side of her
While I agree with most of the posts that the show doesn't really focus on the remodeling so much as her life, I don't necessarily hate that. I've never seen the Kardashians or any of the housewives show so I can't make the same comparison but I think it's healthy to see someone moving on later in life and that they're sharing positive things from it. Yeah, the show is much more about Christina than it is about the design but we've been watching them design for over 5 years, we know what that process looks like. I always thought she was high maintenance and ridiculous on Flip or Flop and on this show she seems so much more relaxed and more down to earth. High maintenance? Yes, but more down-to-earth and I think this is a more enjoyable side of her. We still get to see beautiful remodels at the end which I like and it's interesting that we get the focus more in the client's lives than just comparing tiles. So I like it. I do wish there was more Focus with creating the design instead of just showing up with the items and next thing you know it's basically done. So, if someone from the show is reading this, we already know what demolition looks like, have her teach us about the design aspect. Have her teach us how to match shapes and colors and things like that. And while I am happy she has found love again, her new husband just seems fake. That doesn't really matter in regards to the show, but I really don't like his voice. All that being said, I have always been a bigger fan of Tarek, but certainly enjoy this side of Christina more than how she was on Flip or Flop. so I'm looking out for what he (Tarek) has to offer but I think he'll keep more of that traditional aspect that flip or flop had, which apparently there's like five versions of now. As long as they don't go the way of History Channel and make all the shows like this, I'm okay.
Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)
Jesus Christ Superstar
I just went and watched Jesus Christ Superstar at the DOW event center yesterday. It was the best show ever. After the show i got to meet Ted Neely (Jesus) himself!!!!It was the greatest thing ever...and I was actually more excited to meet him then when i meet President Bush at the Dow a few years back!!The movie (1973 version) is mine and i believe my dad's favorite movie ever!!! In the 14 years I've been alive....its the best Broadway I've ever seen and the best, most Awesome movie ever!!!I encourage anyone who hasn't seen it, to. You will love it. It is great. And its hard to believe that Ted Neely wasn't even the original Jesus and nor was Carl the original Judas. It's a great movie and for anyone who loves musicals this is the best...and even for those who hate musicals...this is the best. I never liked musicals until i saw this...and..well...I saw this when i was about 3 but i haven't been able to sit and watch any other musicals but this one. So i really encourage everyone to see this film!
