Lists
An error has ocurred. Please try againThe average American sees 5,000 films in their lifetime. I’ve seen more than 400 and am only 23. I could only choose from half of them this year, the others are ineligible due to age or the fact that they are already on the list.
Each one of these films is unique in its own way. Some of them are considered to be one of the greatest This is my first time submitting a list of films that I believe deserve to be forever preserved. contributions in cinema, and some people like to say "One mans trash, is another mans treasure". They have made significant contributions to American entertainment, and the way we see the world. I have taken the liberty of explaining each one. And to best show that I'm not the only one who agrees about these movies, I have put my nominations on IMDB. There you can see in detail what I love about these films, and why I feel they should forever be remembered.
In conclusion, I proudly nominate the following 50 films for the National Film Registry.

Once Upon a Studio (2023)
A perfect love letter to Disney
Walt and Roy would be so proud of what their company has turned into. It warmed my heart to see representation from "Every Single" Disney Animation film. From some of the greatest animated films of all time, to the box office failures no one thought would be remembered, there was no favoritism shown.
And the final moments of the short was the icing on the cake to what is possibly the greatest thing Disney will ever do in my life time. All the characters from all the films, putting aside their differences to celebrate the company, and the men, who is the reason they are all there.
Thank you to every cast & crew member of every sector of this company. We thank you!
Poketto monsutâ (1997)
The Greatest Anime Of All Time
Never before has anime been able to succeed so well in the many aspects of story telling. The creative wonder of the Pokémon, and the remarkable characters make this an absolute must see piece of media for everyone.
Ash Ketchum is the kind of person everyone should be. A beacon of hope when things go sour. He treasures every friendship he's made. Even if he's had to work for it at times.
This show is more than children's entertainment, it's universal entertainment. It teaches everyone to never give up on their dreams. To be accepting on all fronts and be open to whatever our journeys lead us too.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
A wonderful tribute and message for acceptance and peace
Once again, Disney & Marvel top expectations in delivering a wonderful piece of cinema.
In our recent aftermath of loss in many shapes and sizes. This film reminds us of important life lessons. Take pride in who you are and where you come from, the power and beauty of representation, and what dosent kill you makes you stronger.
The actor performances, approach to detail, and directorial execution make this film something to be talked about for everyone.
Finally, despite the constant hardships shown in the film, it plays an important part in spreading the message of tolerance, acceptance, and peace. In the better hope that we can one day grow to become better and stronger.
Moana (2016)
A rare film
The characters are so alive thanks to their incredible actors, the music is as beautiful as it is inspiring, the animation makes you feel like it's right there, and the norms that this princess breaks truly makes it a rare astounding accomplishment for Disney.
Dear Evan Hansen (2021)
Critics don't control your opinion
This original story speaks to people who truly feel alone in the world. The music makes you feel their pain and the words express it beautifully. I went into the screening with low expectations because of the critics, but I was blown away by the performances from the amazing cast. The direction and screenplay do what the stage can't, and that is why both forms are unique in their own way.
Rich or poor, popular or unpopular, everyone has their own personal struggle. If you see it in a movie theater, on Broadway, or on tour, alone, or with others, just remember the people in your life and tell them how much they mean to you.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Warner Brothers Presents: Hey look at all the stuff we own!
On the eve of a merge, Warner brothers struggles to keep its intellectual property afloat despite some interesting moments in the acting, writing, and direction.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
A masterpiece
This film is a perfect example of an important part of storytelling: SHOW, DON'T TELL.
In the Heights (2021)
A faithful adaptation
Loved the direction, casting, and I'm a fan of the property. The screenplay was great since it was written by the musicals book writer. But it's a much better experience with friends IN A THEATRE.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
More questions, but very enjoyable
Writing was predictable. It left me with many questions. But the acting from the brother and sister was incredible.
However this did not look like a $61 million dollar movie. I really don't know how.
Paramount should make a third with the profits from the first movie.
Army of the Dead (2021)
It was ok
I Am Legend meets Doomsday.
Writing had many plot holes. Direction was well done. Ending was predictable.
