Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Season 3 is just awful
I didn't like season 2 a lot but I stuck around because of Spock. However season 3 is so bad that I managed to watch 5 episodes and gave up. I don't want to know what happened next. It just felt as if writers decided to throw away everything that made Star Trek so special and replaced it with silly speeches about how grateful they are for blah blah, same old, bad choices or endless tears of Michael Burnham who constantly tilts her head to one side and whispers rather than talk normally. This is not Star Trek.
Death in Paradise (2011)
Sadly it's not getting better with time
Show started as something different, laid back, funny take on detective shows. Over time literally whole cast left and got changed. When replacing leading DI had Dr Who vibe, other cast members were leaving for whatever reason writers could come up with. Show does not offer characters development or growth, plots of each episode are not too twisty, too complicated and usually half way through them you can work out who the killer is and also there's matter of shockingly poor acting. But what started bothering me the most is general set up of the show. There's white British DI and then his team: DS a black woman, Officer a black man, Sergeant a black man. All that on location in post colonial Caribbean. In today's world this sort of concept feels just to outdated.
Happiest Season (2020)
Enjoyable Xmas romcom
What can I say about Happiest Season - it's fun, easy to watch, proper enjoyable. It makes you laugh (Daniel Levy is hilarious, I laughed at just about everything he said) and makes you cry. Sure, its filled with clichés but it works. I felt it honoured important subject matter while being funny Xmas movie you can enjoy year after year.
Wynonna Earp (2016)
I love it
I have to admit not everyone will like it but I love it! It's different, it's wacky, it's messy, it's funny, it's about demons and monsters, also it's a western with love story/ stories and hilarious one liners. Plus Melanie Scrofano and Tim Rozon are just brilliant.
It was bit slow to start but I'm glad I stuck around.
