Blow (2001)
4/10
Mediocre film
15 July 2001
The film has funny moments, and sad moments, and is not completely awful.

But you get the tremendous feeling you have heard this story all before - all that has altered is the name and who it is based on.

This movie will not blow you away.

Terrible

To rent this movie would be a waste of money, to watch this movie would be a waste of your life.

A pathetic attempt at humour - Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis - WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?

Guy - about voyeurism and Vicent D'onfrio
15 July 2001
A fantastic comment on voyeurism and the media in modern times. A pioneer to the truman show this film echo's society's vicarious nature exemplified through the real life TV shows such as 'The real world' and big brother, but hints at the dangers of our own obsessions with others lives.

Vincent D'Onfrio is amazing as Guy, an initally reluctant victim of a female filmaker's camera who begins to enjoy her attention.....which provokes consequences on his own sanity.

A brilliant film.

Praise of Mallrats

To me this is Kevin Smith at his finest, although it lacks the originality shown in 'clerks' and 'chasing amy' it is undoubtedly full of humour. This film was poor in the box office - a travesty!! But who needs the artificial success like that of independence day - which clearly shows how much money is made is nothing.

This film is hilarious and Jason Lee shines!!! Whatsmore Jay and Silent Bob are fantastic.

snoochie boochies forever

Absolutely Brilliant

A fantastic film which handles the subject of capital punishment in a subtle yet touching and emotionally provocative way.

Sean Penn is brilliant and Susan Sarandon shines. This film may not change your views but it will certainly make you look at the death penalty in a compassionate light, even if you agree with it.

A must see movie!!!!

Must See
15 July 2001
Yes its a hackneyed story of boy meets girl and angsty teen relationship follows. But 'The sure thing' is a wonderful film and I have watched it a million times.

John Cusack is brilliant as the laddish Gib who falls for the prudent Alison. The love story is charming and funny.

This is not a 'Chick flick' its a true and touching love story.

A must see along with 'say anything'
