Rogue Heroes (2022–2024)

They do make them like they used to !

I have watched the full series and thoroughly enjoyed it. Partially accurate, somewhat not accurate, but who cares? The acting is great, Connor Swindells in the lead is great, ( I have watched all the series of sex education, and look at some of the stars of that have gone on to greater things. I.e. Doctor Who the new Dr.)

This series has vim and vigour, The sets are good, and there is an exciting atmosphere to the whole production. The attack scenes are very well executed, and the tension and danger are experienced by the viewer. The actual truth of many of the events are even more far fetched than portrayed, but to make it seem realistic they have toned down the storyline to make it more believable to the viewer.

Murder in Provence (2022– )

Marvellous at putting you to sleep.

We. Have not managed to watch an episode without falling asleep. The acting is wooden, script poor, always eating in the same restaurant, looks like an advert for Provence. Usually love Roger Allam but what is he doing in this ?

This was an excellent series, well written, acted and filmed. It would be of great help if the reviewers were automatically put their territory on the review. As different countries have differing conceptions between good and bad.

Alex Rider (2020–2024)

Don't let your age put you off watching.

I have watched both series of Alex Rider and enjoyed them both for different reasons. They are fun and escapist and the actors are excellent together with big names who can hold it all together. I am 73 and find the youthful exuberance of the central cast very entertaining. Also it is streets ahead of the offer from BBC and ITV.

Watched the first episode of series two, and enjoyed it as much as the first three. I wonder if the negative reviews are written by people who have a very limited appreciation of the arts in general?

I agree with a lot of the comments about potholes in the storyline, From the beginning when Eva goes onto the truck alone, We asked why and where are the other police it is a dockside. Although when you watch the quality of the acting of the two central characters and even the child Oskar you can forgive these., and immerse yourself in the tension of the situation in which Victoria finds herself . My wife who has a very low tolerance of storylines, thought that this was excellent.

Sex Education (2019–2023)

Any age would enjoy.

I was 70 when I watched the first series, you can empathise with the teenagers having been there and worn the T Shirt. The acting is first class from all the ensemble, the quirkiness of setting an American High School in the depths of Wales really works, and is one of the stand out series from Netflix.

I am concerned as to whether a lot of negative reviews are from the US? There is a certain European flair in Lupin and watched in French with English subtitles you realise that a lot is being lost in translation.

This was recommended to me by my cousin, she speaks six languages Danish not being one of them. We love and have recommended the series to others who have loved it. We hope that Channel 4 don't wZit a year between each season. We are all over 60.
